There are multiple fuse boxes in the Toyota Prius, but the one housing the cigarette lighter fuse is in the engine compartment. The box is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, back near the firewall. It should be fuse number 10 on the top row, but You can verify this by looking at the diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover. To replace it, You will need a fuse with a 20 amperage rating. To remove it, You will need to just pull it straight out of its place. Your fuse box might have a plastic removal tool on the inside cover. Otherwise, You can use a pair of pliers or pickup a removal tool from a car parts store. If the lighter doesn't work after the fuse has been replaced, You may have an electrical issue.

The fuse that controls the toyota prius cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the dash, just to the left of the hood release. Fuse 23 and 29 are the two fuses for this accessory.

For Gen 2 (2004-2009): Fuse box located under dash, driver's side #12(25A), 23(15A) and 29(15A). When posting about Prius', it's best to state which generation you are referring to.
