A 2015 Honda Civic 1.8L equipped with a CVT transmission is going to have a total fluid capacity of 3.6 US quarts. Being that this transmission is a CVT You're not going to be able to use any old fluid in it. It will require the usage of Honda's OEM HCF-2 CVT transmission fluid. You may not be able to find this at every store so You're going to want to call ahead before You go shopping or more preferably order it online. A single quart will cost between $7 and $10 so You're only looking at spending between $30 and $40 to fill up Your transmission if You do the job on Your own.

So Lucile D & Yolanda have no clue what they’re talking about. Lucile just plain doesn’t know what the capacity is for a 9th generation Honda Civic (2012-2015) with an automatic transmission and for some reason Yolanda thinks that it’s the same amount as you drain out. What if the Transmission is low on fluid or overfill Yolanda? You always have to refer to the OEM specs for proper fluid capacities/types on any vehicle

It's more than that. You'll need four bottles of honda transmission fluid. You won't use all of it though.

Better measure what you drained out. It is going to be the same amount of new CVT Transmission fluid you will place in

Did you drain it all the way?
