The 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 rear differential fluid type iS80w-90. Making sure Your tires are in the greatest of condition is key to not crashing. You will come into issues with this part at some time or another. Premature tire wear is something You could face. You could run into feathering issues. You could face cupping problems. Make sure to check the tire pressure once a month. Check for holes, in case You run over a nail. The part may become loose at some point. This part will need to be replaced eventually. You should change Your tires every 30,000 to 50,000 miles or so. You don't want to get into any wrecks on the road.

If your truck has a limited slip differential (2 wheel burnout) you will need the 75-140 synthetic oil (just under 3qts) plus the friction modifier additive. If your truck has a regular differential (1 wheel spinner burnout) no shame. It takes the 80-90 gear oil also just under the 3qts. No additive needed. FYI the front differential takes the 75-90 oil just around 2qts
