The 2005 Honda Accord speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission on the output shaft. This sensor will measure the rotational speed of the output shaft and send that information to Your vehicle's ECU. From there the ECU will take that information and send it out to Your speedometer to let You know how fast You are going. If Your speedometer is not working it is likely a problem with this sensor. You should check the wiring harness to it to make sure that it is working properly. It is also a good idea to make sure that the sensor is free from any signs of debris or damage. If all of that is good then You may need to replace it.
