The 2001 Ford F-150 catalytic converter scrap price is $850. If the Vehicle is having issues with the catalytic converter then it will cause a number of issues. The most obvious one that You will notice is black smoke coming from under the engine hood. This is not a fire, but You should still turn the car off immediately. When You go to accelerate You will notice that the engine is sluggish and slow to respond and that Your maximum speed is much lower than it normally would be. Finally, You will begin to smell sulfur or rotten eggs from under the vehicle. The average cost of a catalytic converter repair is between $950 and $2500 including parts and labor. This is an expensive repair, but You really have no choice but to do it.

Hey Jodie, can you add a link to where you found the price? I'm about to replace mine, finally, and I don't want to get ripped off on this end of the deal ?

The stocks have fell on the Catalytic converters all of them.and it was around 740 per side pre-cat and cat, so almost 1500 for the set of 4 . That's on the 5.4l 2valve 1999 model and 01 model, the 04 up are like 650 for the set of 2. I'd suggest waiting rt now as rhodium platinum down from almost 18k to 11500 on rhodium and 2100 to 825 on palladium dropped 1500$ over weekend.gets back to rhodium bringing $14-16k sell as long as platinum and palladium are above the 1700$ mark.look at stocks it will show daily.good luck.
