The type of oil that is used in the 2010 Ford Ranger depends on the size of the engine. For the 2.3 L 4Cylinder the recommended type iS5W-20 Synthetic and for the 4.0 L V6 engine the recommended F-TYPEor the best performance iS5W-30 Synthetic. The capacity for the truck iS4 quarts with a filter for the 2.3 L 4Cylinder and 5 quarts with a filter for the 4.0 L V6 engine. Engine oil is really important because it will help to keep the engine clean and running. You should change the oil and the filter every so often because it will go bad after a while. You should change the oil and the filter every 5,000 to 7,500 miles.

Says 5 20 weight on the oil cap. At least on my 010. I also have an Altima in the manual 5 20w but Nissan says 5-30 conventional oil is ok. 5 20 more expensive but l use 5 20m mine.l would not dare use conventional oil in her.
