There are several reasons why You may need to reset Your Honda Odyssey's Engine Control Unit (ECU). If Your fuel economy suddenly declines, resetting the ECU can provide a temporary fix. After You install aftermarket parts, resetting the ECU will help Your car's computer accommodate the new parts. Sometimes a faulty check engine light may appear, so resetting the ECU can make it go away.To reset the ECU first open the hood and look for the fuse box, which is located near the passenger's side. Next remove the applicable fuses. Once You pull these two fuses, wait about 10 minutes before re-installing them. Finally, Re-install the ECU and backup fuses and Your ECU should be reset and Your job is done.

To reset the honda odyssey computer you will, open the hood. Use your pliers or wrench to separate the positive end cable from the plug. Go into your car's fuse box, and see the diagram. Pick the "ecm" fuse, and disable this fuse. ... Keep the car truncated like this for two or three minutes to clear the memory of the machine.
