Usually if You have an emissions system problem light on in the dash of Your Honda Odyssey that means that there is a problem that has been detected with Your vehicle's emissions system. This can be anything from a simple sensor to the catalytic converter failing. The most likely cause of an emissions system problem is a vacuum leak, which is usually just a loose gas cap on the van. If that is not the problem here then the next most likely issue is a bad sensor. When the mass air flow sensor or the O2 sensors go bad they will not be able to read the emissions from Your engine and that will cause the light on the dash to turn on.

Whenever there is an emission error, the engine light test will be shown. In fact, because pollution systems are so interconnected with engine control and transmission control systems, the symptoms may include almost any kind of drivability issues. This may include extreme shifting, inability to shift, hesitancy over acceleration, pulling, engine failure to start or run, power loss, or any number of other issues related to conductivity.
My dealer says my light is on because of dirt and debris in the system.How would dirt and debris get into the system?

My 2018 Odyssey just ran into this error code. Service center found a faulty fuel injectorand luckily it’s still covered under the extended warranty but the part(s) is back ordered
