Ford technician for 20 years. Motorcraft 5W-20 oil is a synthetic blend with a 7500-10,000 mile life. For severe duty, as explained by Michelle, we recommend 5000 mile change intervals. There is no reason to change it more often unless you are using conventional motor oil. There is also no advantage to using more expensive full synthetic oil in this vehicle for normal use.
I do them every 5000 miles but I use a motorcraft fl910s oil filter along with full synthetic motor oil. The recommended oil change is every 5000 miles using full synthetic
The oil on a ford ecosport can be changed every 8000-10000 miles. It is not as much as a normal or older car.
