The 2018 Ford F-150 3.0 Diesel uses SAE 5w-30 full synthetic oil. It has a capacity of 6.5 quarts. Oil keeps the internal parts of Your engine lubricated and it also removes dirt, sludge, and other impurities which will keep Your vehicle running smoothly. The cost of an oil change for Your F-150 is between $50 and $60 for labor and between $90 and $100 for parts. You should get an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.. Signs that it's time for an oil change include a ticking sound coming from the engine, transmission shifting issues, shaking while idling, exhauSTSmoke, poor fuel economy, and of course if You see the Check Engine or Oil Change lights come on.

If your engine is shaking, smoking or ticking... Its far past time for an oil change and almost time for a new engine.

Full Synthetic Oil does not need to be changed at 3,000 miles. Rather 5,000 - 7,000.
