The 2017 Chevy Malibu key fob battery type is a cr2032 battery. These are small coin-shaped batteries and will cost You an average of 5 dollars when buying them. To put the battery into the key fob You will need to remove the back plate. On some models, this will simply slide off with some force, but on others, You will need to remove a couple of small screws. Either way, it is simple to do.
