A 2017 Chevy Malibu is going to need to use a 9005 bulb for both the high beam headlights and the low beam headlights. It will be a different bulb for each so in total if You need to replace everything it will be four bulbs total. This bulb size is the most common size that is used on headlights for vehicles so it's going to be at every auto parts and even big box stores like walmart. A single bulb is going to cost between $4 and $15 or You can get a multipack for a bit of a discount.

Bogus info . . . .the 9005 bulb for the Malibu is both the low and high beam. You will need two bulbs, not four. Seriously???

Hid halogen is the headlight bulb size with a 2017 chevy malibu and cost about $12.
