The most common problem with the 2017 Chevy Malibu auto stop system is that the vehicle does not turn back on. This can happen when there is a problem with Your battery or alternator in Your car. If Your battery is low it will not have enough amperage to turn the starter motor back on and that can cause it to stall out and not start after it has turned off. Another problem that can come up is the system can have faults. The auto start stop system just uses a computer to control it and if there are any software bugs or hangups it can lead to the motor not stopping or starting when it is supposed to.
