As the driver of a Mercedes GLC, You have found Yourself in the position of trying to turn the passenger airbag on in Your vehicle. This is very easy to do, and only takes a few moments. The firSTStep You will need to take is to go to the driver or passenger side of Your vehicle, it doesn't matter which, and sitting down inside. Now, take a look at the center dashboard, just above the radio. There, You should find the on and off switch for the passenger side airbag. Simply flip the switch to change it from off to on again. If You do not see the switch on Your dash, trying looking inside the glove compartment.

The passenger airbag is a sensor in Mercedes GLC and it will automatically turn on when someone sits in the seat more than the weight requirement given.

What Mae said - PASS AIRBAG OFF Light goes out when the passenger sits in the seat. Why this would matter, who knows.

The only reason you should ever need to turn it off is when you have a child in that seat. It's nice to know that it's off or if you should turn it off if they weighed enough to turn it on. There really is no other reason to turn it off unless you're trying to eject someone out of your car in a high-speed crash, then just put a piece of duct tape over the airbag off sign
