To change the parking lights on the 2013 Ford Escape, use the hood release lever in the vehicle cabin and the safety latch under the front hood to raise the hood. NeXTSecure it in place with the prop rod and twist the front parking bulb assembly counterclockwise to remove it. Finally pull the bulb out of the socket. The parking light importance cannot be understated either. These lights are designed to highlight the extremities of the car at dawn and dusk or in bad weather, when it isn't dark enough to necessitate use of the headlights. They're not intended to illuminate the road ahead, but to make Your car more visible in failing light.

No way to access the light bulb assembly from the top by raising the hood. Must remove 8 bolts in the wheel fender assembly to gain access

To change the parking lights on the 2013 ford escape, use the hood release lever in the vehicle cabin and the safety latch under the front hood to raise the hood. Secure it in place with the prop rod. Twist the front parking bulb assembly counterclockwise to remove it. Pull the bulb out of the socket. The signal bulb system consists of at least four bulbs each on the vehicle front and rear. So, to change the other parking lights, remove the bolts and rivet from the wheel well lining to open the wheel well. Reach inside the wheel well to remove the bulb assembly and the bulb. Insert the new parking light bulbs. Secure the hood and wheel wells.

The parking light (marker light) in the bumper assembly of my 2013 Ford Escape required removal the bumper in order to replace it. The bulb itself cost me $21.23 and labor was $129.00 as they had to remove the bumper to change it.
