Changing the battery on the 2016 Ford Escape is a pretty simple task. The first thing You will want to do is make sure the car is off and that there is no power flowing. Now disconnect the positive and negative cables from the battery and the car. Once those come lose You can unbolt the two bolts that hold the battery in place. Now, it should lift free, though it will be quite heavy. Once it has come out You simply need to put the new one in its place and bolt it back down. Reconnect the cables and You should be good to go. Note that You can't just throw away a battery, it will need to be disposed of properly.

I am guessing that you have never looked under the hood of a 2016 Escape because you need to remove the air box to remove the battery.

I’m not sure what kind of Escape the folks above have but if you are going to pull the battery without damaging the tray above it you will need to pull the windshield wipers and then the test above comes off in 2 pieces pop the clips off the front of the panel and then the clips by the windshield after that is removed then there are 4 bolts that take a # 10 socket to remove once that is removed then you can pull the bracket off the battery and loosen the battery cables all my fasteners were #10 pull the front of the battery up and work the battery out

To change the battery on the 2016 ford escape, you need to first open the hood. Then you need to remove the brackets. Take the cables off and clean them. Remove the old battery and replace it with the new battery. Attach the cables to the correct posts. Reattach the brackets.

Take it to NASA they will fly it to space and get aliens to do, other than that go purchase $4 to 500 in tools and take 1/2 the car apart. Henry would be rolling in his grave if he seen this fiasco
