A transmission replacement in a 2014 Ford Focus can get rather expensive as the transmission is one of the largest components in Your car. It also takes a lot of work to remove and replace an entire transmission so labor rates can be high. There is a lot of variance in the prices of transmissions whether You want a rebuilt or new unit. Usually the part will cost $500 to $2,000 depending on condition. On top of that usually labor costs are $1000 to $1500 since it is usually about a week of work to completely swap a transmission. That combined creates a price range of $1,500 to $3,500 to have a transmission replaced by a shop.

So with a 2014 ford focus the cost of labor to install it is in addition to the price of the unit and will typically run between $500 and $1200.

The dealership is charging me 2,065 for a new transmission . I have ordered a TCM sensor when I first brought my car in about a year ago,it’s on back order so I’ll probably never get it .Without that TCM your car will probably end up like mine in the garbage where it belongs.
