The Acura RSX is a vehicle that is known for reliability. Many owners of this vehicle have been able to drive their vehicle passed the 200,000 mile mark without needing any major work done on the vehicle such as having the engine or transmission rebuilt. In order to get Your vehicle to last up to the 200k mark or higher You're going to need to make sure to give it regular maintenance. The oil will need to be changed every 7,500 miles and the transmission fluid will need to be changed every 40,000 to 60,000 miles. You should also be takeng it in for a tune up every 6 to 12 months.

At just over 280,000kms on my 2006 RSX non Type-S. I change the spark plugs once a year, do the oil every 8,000kms. My car does about 600-625kms per gas tank. I drive about 75-80% highway.

I honestly that if I continue to keep my 2006 RSX tuned up, coolant in it and good rubber on it; the engne will outlast the body on it. I'm at 145 k miles and has never had a pick-up....
