To reset the airbag light in Your 2012 Kia Sorento turn the ignition key to the "on" position and wait for the airbag button to illuminate and then switch off. If You never use the passenger side then You can pull the fuse as well. To get to the fuse box look to the left of the steering wheel look for a small seam or crack along the dash. Using a screwdriver or prybar You will want to pop this open. On the inside, You will find a bunch of fuses. On the back of the panel that You pulled open, You will see a diagram that will show You what each of the fuses is for. If this is not on the back of the panel then You can also find it in the owner's annual for the vehicle. Once You have figured out which fuse You need simply pull it out.

To reset the airbag light, at the same time press your brakes and press the push button (to start your KIA Sorento 2012). Now wait for the seatbelt light and airbag light to be displayed. Once the seatbelt and airbag lights are no longer displayed, now press the push button to turn your car off. This procedure will reset your airbag light for your KIA Sorento 2012.

What if your 2012 KIA Sorento is a push button to start? I pressed the push button two times and the airbag light was displayed. The airbag light then returns. Do I need to remove the fuse on the driver's side and then put it back to have it reset?
Reset the airbag light on.my 09 Kia Spectra. Light goes out on three count then back on on four. Repeated process three times and same result. This car had had the front clip replaced twice. The light has been on since the second replacement.
