The stock radio in Your 2008 Nissan Altima does have bluetooth built in but it is not capable of streaming music. Very few vehicles came with the ability to play music wirelessly in 2008 since it was a very new technology that it was expensive. The Altimas head unit allowed for handsfree calling and phone book syncing only. Now that the technology has become so widely available You can add this feature to almost any vehicle for a relatively low cost. The easiest way to do this would be to purchase a stand alone BT receiver and plug it into the AUX in port in Your center console. If You prefer an all-in-one solution You can purchase a new head unit that has BT streaming built in and use it in place of the stock radio.

Some vehicles do not have that ability. On my Nissan, I have an Iphone 7 and I can connect bluetooth for calls and such, but the capability to stream music is only available through the aux port. There are external bluetooth devices that can be connected to the radio to stream from your phone. Upgrading the head unit may also be an option.
