Yes in 2018 Ford issued a recall because of a coolant leak. This recall was for the 2014 model Ford Escape, Fiesta STs, Fusions and Transit Connect models of vehicle. If You are on this list You're going to need to take Your vehicle in to a dealership and they will fix it for You free of charge. This issue is very serious and will need to be dealt with as soon as possible. This issue can cause the vehicle to overheat due to the lack of coolant and this could lead to a fire.

My 2014 Ford Escape has been in garage for repairs since Oct. 4/2022 . Today is Oct. 23. Coolant leak. Turbo charger leaking. Engine head cracked. It keeps getting worse. I called the Ford Dealership here to ask if there had been issues, which they answered no. So far, the bill to repair is in excess of $7000. They told me it is the car from hell. I am recently widowed, and this car issue has made a sad and stressful time even worse. I see that there is a class action suit by LEX group posted online.

My 2014 ford escape is also losing antifreeze with no signs other than having to fill reservoir and the terrible stench. I called my local ford dealership and was told my vehicle was not on the list according to my VIN #. Very frustrating!
