There was a recall issued in 2017 for the 2013 Ford Fusion related to oil leaking from the engine. The engine oil commonly leaks from cracks that develop in the head of the motor. When the oil leaks from this area it can get onto the exhaust components and potentially start a fire. You can contact a Ford dealership with Your VIN number and they can confirm if Your Fusion is included in this recall. If it is then they will repair the head on Your engine free fo charge and replace it with one that should not have the same problems cracking as the original one that came with it.

The oil leak is exactly what it says, it causes leaking oil. The oil leaks have lead to fires. The national recall number is 12v551000.

My Ford leaks oil but they say it's no such thing as a national recall.
