The 2008 Ford Mustang comes in a total of four different trim levels -- the V6 Deluxe, the V6 Premium, the GT Deluxe, and the GT Premium. Each of these is available as either a coupe or a convertible. At every trim level, bluetooth connectivity was offered as an available option at the time of purchase, through the upgrade to Ford's SYNC service. If Your Mustang wasn't upgraded -- or if You just want to escape Ford's proprietary SYNC ecosystem -- there are still options for You. You could pick up a bluetooth receiver and use literally any head unit, or You could upgrade Your head unit to one from Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Boss, or similar that offers bluetooth connectivity. No matter Your situation, You're never completely out of luck.

Yes, 2008 Ford Mustang can be equipped with Bluetooth by using SYNC with your wireless phone. SYNC is an option on all 4 trims - V6 Deluxe, V6 Premium, GT Deluxe and GT Premium.

There are 5 levels… the 4 aforementioned and mine…GT500… wondering why there’s a “phone” button

It isn't available on the base v6, but is on everything else. I have a 2010 base v6 and the buttons are there for it, but that's added on the assembly line. The feature isn't available
