When equipped with the 1.5-liter engine, the 2015 Ford Fusion useS4.1 liters (4.4 quarts) of 5W-20 oil. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost and 2.5-liter 4Cylinder both take 5.4 liters (5.7 quarts) of fluid with the same viscosity. SAE 5W-20 is a synthetic oil that reduces friction, prevents corrosion, and cools the engine. It even enhances fuel economy. If it's not changed routinely, engine knocking, poor gas mileage and performance, and excess exhauSTSmoke can result. Expensive engine damage can occur if the oil pressure gets too low. Ford recommends changing this fluid every 7,500 miles, but if You make frequent long commutes at low speeds, Your maintenance interval may be more often. The average cost to have this fluid replaced at the dealership is $110 to $140, which includes labor.
Everyone keeps saying that the 2.0 liter eco boost takes the same as the other engine but this is wrong. 5w-30 is what is on the oil cap from the manufacturer for the 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium with the 2.0 liter ecoboost engine.
