The 2007 Nissan Murano useS4.2 quarts of SAE 5W-30 engine oil to complete a change including the filter. Nissan recommends that You use synthetic oil whenever You need to change it to give You better wear protection. There are two common types of oil on the market these days, conventional and synthetic. Conventional is thE-Classic petroleum based oil that has been around forever, and synthetic is a newer type that gives You better lubricatoin and lasts longer. This means You can go 7,500 miles between synthetic changes compared to 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional. I recommend checking Your oil regularly to make sure that it is free from debris or signs of burning.

The 2007 Nissan Murano with its standard 3.5L V6 engine has an oil capacity of 4.2 quarts. The weight and viscosity should be 5W30 synthetic or either 10W30 or 10W40 synthetic.
