This car is great for long distance driving. It does well on gas and very reliable. The heated seats are great for those cold winter days. Bluetooth is perfect for cell phones for driving safely. Even thought it is a factory sound system, the sounds are not bad. Preventive maintenance and service will extend the life of this vehicle for years to come.

Likes/ dislikes about my Volkswagen passat!
I love my passat! My favorite things about it is the seat warmers, the Bluetooth and how spacious it is! The only complaints I have is I wish I had a backup camera to help see more clearly when backing up. I also wish I could start my car from inside but it is an older model so it is understandable. I also like that it is good with gas!

White 2012 Volkswagen passat review.
Very strong and reliable car. Gets great miles to the gallon and is very spacious on the inside. Stock speakers sound great and the car runs clean as a whistle. I have never had an issue with a Volkswagen car and I’ll likely by another when if/when my current one finally dies.

Love the gas mileage and how fast the car goes.
The car is very good on gas. Spacious inside, front and back seats, and even the trunk. Great radio and sound system. Easy to adjust seats for whatever your comfort may be. All leather interior, easy to clean. Comes with spare tire and a jack. Very good driving on the interstates.

Foreign cars are expensive to maintain!
The transmission has given me problems since I have had my car (only a couple years). This has led to 4 new batteries and multiple new head and tail lights. I have also had to replace the brakes and the radio. Otherwise, it is spacious. It is just so expensive for an oil change and new tires, etc.

I love the dependability of my Volkswagen passat. It has a classy design.
I love my vehicle. It handles well and is dependable. Heated seats provide comfort during the winter months. I have the luxurious look of an expensive vehicle but more affordably priced. My car is a four door sedan with chrome finish, leather interior with a very quiet engine.

Love the car, but it does not age well.
Performs well, comfortable, has seat warmers and Bluetooth, nice features. Have had many expensive issues arise with it (windows starting getting buggy, problems with check engine light, a/c went out on us once, jerkiness that showed up after a couple of years), but it was bought used with ~100k miles already.

Reliable car that holds up under normal driving wear and tear.
Car performs pretty well and has not needed too much service in the 6 years I have had it, pretty good gas mileage and comfortable drive as well. It is a reliable car that has performed well in california’s weather and has good trunk size and a sizable back seat for passengers as well.

Great car, experienced minor issues.
I love my car. There is plenty of space in the backseat, the interior is nice and easy to use, and I love the way it drives because it is very smooth. I have had a couple of issues with sensors messing up which got annoying over time. Overall a good car and I would recommend to a friend.

Great for people who commute a lot because of exceptional gas mileage.

I love my Volkswagen passat! It is great on gas mileage, you only need an oil change once a year compared to other cars where you need a oil change every 3 months. I haven't had any major issues with my car either. I will purchase Volkswagen's for the rest of my life.

I love how loud it gets, and how it is able to connect via Bluetooth to a phone!
My vehicle is pretty reliable, as long as everything is up to date. It picks up speed pretty fast, and it is radio features are really nice. The bass is awesome, music sounds great in this car. The heat gets very hot very fast, but the ac takes a bit to get cold air flowing.

Only problem with the car is that the rims from the previous owner cracked few months after purchasing the vehicle. The vehicle performance is great, drives smooth and can easily control the car. It has heated seats, Bluetooth audio, and Bose speakers.

This is my 5th Volkswagen
I’ve had my Passat 3.6 SEL for about 3 years and I love it. I have the tan interior and I don’t recommend it if you have teen kids. It has a lot of room, great on the road and the Fender sound system is amazing. I just did the seafoam treatment and it runs like brand new. Last, I wish it had a little more horsepower. Other than that, it’s a great car.

My car is comfortable and it has Bluetooth! Yay.
I just bought my car so I haven't had a bunch of time with it but so far it is been great. The gas mileage is amazing especially with the gas prices nowadays. It does great on long distance drives which is great for me because I drive long distance often. It is super comfortable and I love how it has Bluetooth for my music and so I can answer the phone handsfree. Also even though it is a small car the truck has a bunch of room and the backseat is extremely roomy. The only downside is that I live in an area that snows a bunch in the winter and I am afraid that it will not do good in the snow since it is front wheel drive. Other than that it is a reliable car and great purchase.

Volkswagen passat offers comfort and reliability.
I think my car is very reliable and works consistently. I have never had many problems with it, outside of a flat tire here and there. I think it is comfortable and spacious - four people can fit easily in it, and yet the car is not too big to where it is stressful for me to drive. I like my car's stereo - it connects to my phone easily, and offers a CD player which is nice, and it consistently sounds great. I have had some problems with the ac in the past, where in the summer it takes a while to cool down and sometimes will not work, and likewise in the winter can sometimes take a while to heat up.

The breaks are too sensitive and the AC is really strong. However it is a handy car and will last a long time. The Bluetooth radio kind of sucks. However it works well if you put it in a certain sound limit. It hooks up really well to all phones but radio and FM wise is not the widest variety.

I love my passat and will buy another one.
I have owned my 2012 Volkswagen passat for six years and have no complaints. The vehicle has been reliable, is fun to drive and looks great. My passat has a lot of power and speed with excellent performance. If I had to mention one thing I do not like in my car it is the navigation system. The screen that is used for typing in the location has a slow response or lag time. This causes mistakes to be made while entering the information. Overall, I love my VW and will probably buy another one someday.

Great mileage and easy to maneuver in tight parking spots.
Only issue is tires keep losing pressure. Rims have corrosion that needs to be corrected. Very comfortable to drive and mileage is great. Average 33 to 35 mpg. Mostly town driving. Bluetooth phone reception is not the best will break up especially when outside of city limits. Easy to park.

Volkswagen passat review!
While the passat goes up against the Honda accord and the Toyota Camry, it feels larger than those two family sedans, particularly from the extra-spacious rear seat. Unfortunately, it also drives like a larger car, with uninspired handling and mediocre acceleration. Refreshed styling for 2020 gives the staid passat a visual freshening but compared with its rivals it is still the grown-up of the group.

2012 Volkswagen passat: best car ever!
This car is perfect! It is super comfortable, spacious, and drives smoothly. The trunk space is fantastic! I was able to drive my stuff to college with no problems, given I also put the back seats down. I love how once you set up Bluetooth your phone automatically connects to the car every time you enter. It is really convenient. Adjusting the driver's seat is super easy and all electronic. I am very short so the ability to raise the seat as high as I want and as close to the wheel as I want is great!

Amazing Volkswagen passat gives great comfort while in style.
I do not think anything is wrong with the car. As a relatively new driver it runs well and is easy to drive. It runs nicely and I have had minimal problems throughout having it. My car is navy blue with leather seating and it runs looks beautiful. The seats are comfortable and easy to sit in for long drives. The spacing in the car is very nice as well.

Would recommend for your average person who needs a four-door vehicle.
Lower to the ground then most other cars I have owned but for me that works well. Handles turns well and can speed/decrease without much issue. An issue I have run into is during the winter time, the proportions of the car cause it to fishtail easily when making wide turns. Has Bluetooth and radio capabilities but I do not use them, instead I just use the aux cord and CD player. Overall a really great vehicle in which I would recommend to friends and family. I will be considering another VW in the future, but perhaps a newer model.

I would like for it to have full on leather seats since it is the top of the line passat but instead it has half cloth and half leather.

This is the first Volkswagen I've ever owned. I absolutely love it. I have owned it for just over a year and it has been a very reliable vehicle. It has the power I need along with the comfort I desire. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vehicle to get to and from work. I was truly just looking for something that I can have to get me to work and not have to worry about it breaking down all the time. It has a huge trunk that I can fit all my junk in. The heating and ac works great as well as the stereo sounds so good. Great car overall no complaints.

My Volkswagen is incredible. I really love the fact that it has so much leg room in the back seat, being that I'm tall and I don't like small back seats. It rides very smooth. I always get compliments on it. Many people think it's a very expensive sports car because it looks so nice. The gas mileage is unbeatable. The speakers sound incredible. I love the touch screen as well. Really a great car all around and would recommend to anybody. Even with those with children and a family because it's so roomy!

Very comfortable and drives and feels like the first day I bought it.
I bought with 6000 miles fairly new. I now have 189,000 trouble free miles. It still leaves no oil spots and still drives like a new car. It's been hit in the front end by a backhoe and was still able to drive it home get it repaired and drives like a new car.

Great reliable car overall, just be prepared to budget for maintenance cost.
Personally I do not have any issues with the overall performance of my vehicle. I find it to be a comfortable smooth to drive. I will say that the touch screen interface can be upgraded to respond quicker and the cabin noise reduced. The only other con to purchasing this car as far as I am concerned is the expensive maintenance/parts cost.

Beautiful design, very conservative gas usage, well-thought out interior design.
I love my car. The only problem I have had with the car is the air conditioning is not cold enough. The dealership stated that it was a side effect of the green technology used to differentiate the car. Otherwise the wheels that came with the car needed to replaced, as they are not strong enough to survive city potholes.

2012 Volkswagen passat (bought used).
I love my passat! It runs on diesel so gas is a little more expensive but it gets such great mileage that I am pretty sure I've reduced my gas expenses despite diesel costing more. I have had my passat for 6 months and the only issue I have had was a flat tire, and that was only because I drove over a nail. I also love the sunroof and heated leather seats, and I love the way it handles and how smooth it rides.

Good quality and spacious car.
I bought my 2012 vehicle used in 2014. It has performed above my expectations for the last 6 years. The car was very affordable and has had no issues. The only things needed done to the car so far have been routine maintenance items. I have about 150,000 miles on it currently. I love how much space is in this vehicle! I bought it before I had kids, had twins a few years later and am surprised with how well my family of 4 fit. It is tight, but we are even able to take this car for a week long vacation/road trip. I am so happy in this car!

Great commuter car for work and recreation.
Not the best acceleration. Had it for a few years. Drives great, quiet, spacious. Radio works well. Has a pretty large trunk. Comes with a spare tire and tools to change a tire.Seats are comfortable. Lean back. Has cruise control, an automatic, great braking system. Car has been through a lot, and haven't had a huge amount of upkeep on it.

My car has a diesel engine and great mileage!
I love that my car is a diesel engine! I only spend $40 a month on diesel fuel and I get great mileage! However, when repairs are needed to my car it is hard to find a mechanic that will fix my car, I have to end up taking it to the dealership which ends up costing a lot.

The fact that you have to buy the specific wipers from Volkswagen because nothing else fits that cost $40+. The battery also has been hit or miss and again can only be replaced at a Volkswagen dealership by their professionals. Just know that the car is good, but if you need to replace anything, you can only do it at a Volkswagen dealership.

Runs smooths, great Hwy miles.
I haven't really had a problem with my vehicle, well besides the driver seat is a power seat and the passenger seat is not. Ac gets really good, however I noticed when it is over 95 degrees it does not run as cold. Runs smooth, real good on gas, overall a good vehicle.

Volkswagen passat aka patty!
I do not have an issue with blind spots like one might think. Sunroof is very nice. Bought second hand so I wasn't aware that the people before me had bought a model without Bluetooth till I googled it. Bluetooth is an add on. Pretty reliable. I like that the car informs you when air in your tire is low, when it needs service, and when it is nearing an oil change.

Volkswagen passat for the win!
It's got some zip to the take off from a dead stop. Lots of interior room. The headlights are a bit difficult to change out. Oil changes are slightly more expensive than American cars. The Bluetooth connection for the phone was hard to figure out. Pretty great stock sound system. Mechanical fixes are relatively cheap if you know someone who works on cars. There is a button in the glove compartment that locks the ability to open the trunk until you hit the button again. Not sure what the purpose of that feature is. Overall pretty great car.

Volkswagen passat: perfect teen car.
Drives great! It had 5 cylinders so it gets up fast. When I bought it, I had issues with my transmission but I was able to get those issues resolved. Also, the Bluetooth connection is shaky here and there. It will disconnect itself. My tire sensor is broken, and will not reset itself. The interior is easy to clean and maintain. I have a leather interior. It is got a stiff feel to it but you get used to it. The screen is touchscreen and allows for aux and Bluetooth connecting, plus FM and XM radio.

The Volkswagen Passat is a reliable vehicle. I don't need to worry about maintenance issues & that gives me peace of mind.
It's a very reliable vehicle and gas mileage is not great, but it's good with an average of around 20 mi/gal in the suburban areas I drive in. The navigation system is ok, I've had many times where my navigation via iPhone was more accurate....but I do like having the map up as I'm driving and I try to sync the route on my phone to the nav in the car. I haven't had too many problems with maintenance or issues with the car costing me extra money. All in all, for what I use the car for, it's a good vehicle...although if I had more money at the moment I would consider a newer vehicle.

My vehicle has a beautiful maroon color.
I have owned this vehicle since 2016 and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I keep up with the required vehicle maintenance such as fluid changes and tire rotations and the car performs exceptionally well. I use synthetic oil which Volkswagen requires, but go every 10,000 or 1 year before an oil change.

German engineering does it again!
Engine light constantly comes on. It is for various reasons but it never seems to fail. Other than that, the car is good and with any car regular upkeep you'll be fine. Also, it seems that the car has issues starting right after I get gas. Does not matter where I get the gas from, but the engine does not want to turn over.

The awesomeness of German engineering.
The location of the manifold absolute pressure is problematic. It usually catches oil, hence the engine light is on most of the time. You can easily clean and fix it yourself, but it is usually a time consuming task. Since it is a German brand's car, the design is for Germany's (or most parts of the Europe's) road/climate conditions. So, you may not have the same performance during summer. In cold weather, it works perfectly. On humid days, the belts usually expand, hence they make noises because they are loose than they should be. The interior is absolutely perfect. The console is easy to use. My next car will be definitely a passat.

Best features on the Volkswagen Passat 2012
The Passat is very comfortable and seats and very well made for all types of weather. The car includes an aux cord spot in the armrest which makes it easily reachable. The heating and cooling system is amazing even though there are only vents in the front. No problems it's a great first car for college students.

The back window is to narrow for my tastes and I do not like that there are not any vents in the back seats. However, the car runs smoothly, and it is reliable. Volkswagen luxury or bust.
The car is a different machine from the other cars you decide to buy, but it rides like a dream. The interior is huge with room for your front seats and back seats. The handling of the car alone is beautiful it feels so metallic that it feels like you can feel every bump and divot in the road. The sports mode is an excellent feature in which the car can double its 0 to 60 in almost 4 secs. The only confusing part about the Volkswagen was that it has a charger on the front dash but it looked like a cigarette lighter so I kept trying to use it for such.

The Volkswagen passat is great on fuel.
Overall I really enjoy the Volkswagen passat tdi sel. It is really good on fuel, it takes diesel. I bought it used and drove from Maryland to New Orleans in September, I think we filled it twice on the way down there. The only thing I really don't like is the take off, it doesn't take off fast, it has to build up to get the speed.

The car is equipped with hands-free calling, Bluetooth audio and speaker, sunroof, heated seats, and much more. It drives very smoothly and is also equipped with sport mode. The car is very advanced for a 2012, in my personal opinion.

It's a wonderful car, I have had no problems with it. The speakers are excellent, and it's easy and comfortable to drive for long distances.

Volkswagen passat review!
This car has a lot of electrical issues, the lights are constantly going on even after it is been fixed. No one wants to work on the car, especially the engine and everything is extremely overpriced when it comes to repairs. I love the car but too much maintenance and issues.

Great looking car and drives nice.
Rear light and blinker has had a few problems, would like more trunk room. I like the color and power. The seats are ok wish was leather. I like the look of the car. The car is very clean looking, I wish the front window heated up faster in the winter time.

Fuel efficient, high quality, high safety, and money well spent!
I love this car. It is great performance-wise and is totally fuel efficient! You do have to remember that it is a diesel, when pumping fuel. But that definitely helps with the fuel efficiency! It has plenty of room and is high in safety quality! I would recommend this vehicle for anyone buying one of their first vehicles!

Comfortable and does not waste lots of gas.
The Passat is a very reliable vehicle. Mine has a little problem and it is that it makes a noticeable noise when I hit the brakes. Has done it for awhile now and I still cannot find anyone that can fix it. Other than that, super comfortable and great for teenagers to start driving.

Mileage and comfort of my car.
This car has over 200k miles on it and still runs very well. One think it struggles with now is accelerating up steep hills. It has been costing me more money in repairs now that it is getting older. The vehicle is very comfortable and has a lot of trunk space and leg room.

Music switch needs to be added.
For the most part I love my car but there are minor issues I have. The first being the music features. I wish there was a way to change the song on the steering wheel when using a Bluetooth device. The car doors also swing closed which can be annoying.

Passat is comfy with great sound.
The passat is a very safe vehicle, comfortable and not a lot of road noise. It will not turn on or go out of park unless your foot is on the brake. It seems to be hard on tires and they need replacing quite a bit. The Bluetooth audio and speaker quality is great.

Great car for traveler(s).
It is very comfortable and great on gas mileage! I can go about a week without having to fill up for gas. Some problems are that the washer fluid runs out very easily and my check coolant light is always on. Other than that, very awesome car! I would recommend one of these to anybody.

This is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. Beautiful interior with a nice leather finish. No problems under the hood. We've taken this car on numerous trips and it has performed great every time. Lots of space in the trunk for suitcases and anything else you need to take with you on vacation.

Has her issues but overall reliable.
I bought my car used two years ago I didn't start running into problems until about a year ago. Three out of my four doors stopped being able to open from the outside. This was very pricey to fix. Last January I needed a new throttle body also pricey. But I put around 30,000 miles on the car so issues were expected. Overall I love the car it drives very nice and smooth. The seats are comfortable and the speakers are amazing.

Outside mirror defrosters.
We bought this car in 2014 used. With proper maintenance, it has served us well, with no problems other than tire replacement. The car 88,000 miles and runs like new! It is without a doubt the most comfortable vehicles we ever owned. The ride is great, really smooth!

Ac, roomy back, great trunk space, mpg, amazing breaks, very roomy, Bluetooth.
I really love the car, the mpg is really nice and the comfort of the car is amazing. The leg room in the back is amazing. Family is pretty tall and it has some amazing room. The trunk in huge as well. I like the dual ac system as well because my daughter is always way hotter than I am. I can keep my ac at a warmer level while hers is blaring cool air. The only issues with the car is the constant recalls that they have. Volkswagen always has recalls so keep that in mind. The car runs well. I hadn't put oil in the car for 4 years and it was fine.

It is very good on gas and the ride is very smooth.
The electrical system is wonky. So it'll say my tires are low when they're not. Say my lights are out when they're not. My Bluetooth has never worked and now there is something wrong to where I cannot fix my clocks on it. The car runs well but the features are all but gone at this point.

VW Passat is amazing aside from tech
Runs well, very comfortable. The Bluetooth doesn't always work through, the technology could be a little better. Smooth stick shift. Makes no noises and is a great ride. Price range was very affordable as well. Definitely needs more tech though. But I love VW

Overall this car is amazing. The car works smooth and nicely.
The car is amazing! The driving is smooth, the gas lasts for nearly a month (with minimal driving) and the car is very big for its price. The comfort of the car is very nice and the features are also very nice. There are really no problems with the car at all. I have had it for about two months now with no problems (except when I left my lights on). I completely recommend this car.

Volkswagen passat: it is a great and beautiful car. I definitely would recommend.
I love the classic passat look. Volkswagens are so timeless. However I hate how expensive this brand is to fix. I think that they are beautiful cars, but anything other than routine maintenance can get very pricey. I would buy a Volkswagen again though/ because they always look so sleek and timeless.

2012 Volkswagen passat is a great car!
Great car! The exterior of the car is simple and elegant. It has 6 speed automatic transmission, front wheel drive, self-warming seats and a great ac and heating system that also warms the rearview mirrors, which is very helpful in the winter. It drives smoothly and gives you about 40 highway miles per gallon and 32 city miles per gallon. I love this car!

Volks passat versus itself.
No problems after 5 years. Minor cosmetic replacements over the years due to wear and tear. Reliable vehicle. Comfortable seating. Great on gas. Great pick up for a sedan. Safety features seem great, however there have been numerous recalls on the airbags.

I love my Volkswagen passat. It is big, nice and comfortable. Very reliable for long drives between states. There is a lot of leg room especially in the back so the passengers can sit and ride very comfortably! I only have to do oil changes every year or when the car has run 10,000 miles which is also very convenient. I do have one issue in the car the car engine light stays on and multiple car shops haven’t been able to identify the cause of it.
