Reliable car - for the long haul.
This is reliable car, minimal maintenance and low gas requirements. I have had no major issues. There is plenty of room for my family of 4. It is very quiet. The leather seats are very durable. Nothing has broken. The Toyota service is excellent. I would buy another.

The best car for gas mileage.
I have not had any performance issues with this vehicle. It only costs me around $19 for a full tank of gas from almost empty. I have not had this car break down on me in the 6 years of owning it. This car does not have a touchscreen panel in the center.

My vehicle is slick and grey. With plenty of backseat and trunk space.
The cars performance is amazing! You can use econ mode when driving in the city or country roads to maximize fuel efficiency. The only problem with the car is the type of oil, you use synthetic so oil changes are a bit pricey but you do not have to do it that often. Your average gas mileage is between 30 and 50 mpg which you do not have to fill up that often!

Excellent car, excellent value.
I purchased this car used, and have had no problems apart from routine maintenance. It is a comfortable, quiet ride. Gas mileage is phenomenal. I do miss automatic lights, as mine are manual. I also upgraded the sound system. The factory radio on this model is very basic. When I eventually need to replace this car, I will replace it with another Prius.

I love my Prius, it is the only car I will ever own.
I love my vehicle. It is very reliable, I bought this vehicle mainly for the fuel economy. Between school, sports, and work, I put a lot of miles on this vehicle. The car is nice and roomy and fits my family of four very well. I would love to upgrade to a newer model someday. I will always stick with a Prius as long as they are being made.

Some minor issues but good overall.
The car makes rumbling noise when driving in city roads. Also the electric part sometimes fail. From the positive side: the car remain good smell, like it does not absorb bad smell brought inside (from the food take outs etc). I like the looks. Even though it is 2010 it is still looks presentable.

Bad wiring harness but overall a great car.
The only downside is the wiring harness for the lights got recalled before I bought the car. The previous owner didn't get it replaced. I kept having headlights go out, so I took it to a Toyota repair shop. They told me about the recall and explained that the time to get it replaced for free expired last year. Now I can either pay $400 to have it replaced or keep paying to have headlights replaced.

My car is Toyota Prius, which was made in 2010. It is reliable cost effective.
My car model is Toyota Prius. I love this car because it is so comfortable to me. I feel no problem is this car and the performance is so good. This car is reliable and cost effective also. It has cargo space and very comfortable to sit. I am in love because of its smooth speed. If you tell me to rate this car I will go for 5 out of 5.

Nice zippy commuter vehicle.
My Prius is a great commuter car and it gets terrific gas mileage. My favorite part is how quiet it is as I live in an apartment building and I dislike having a loud vehicle. I wish it had a bit more power on acceleration but overall it handles well and is fun to zip around town in.

The pitfalls of owning a Prius.
Bottom front fenders both sides where they connect to the bumpers rattle. Difficult to get plastic panel open to change oil. You usually will break one or more ? Of in the process. Replacement ev battery expensive to replace. Just the part is $3600. Great gas mileage. Leave the exterior lights in you do not get an alarm.

Great gas mileage and a great car to drive.
It was been very reliable and has great gas mileage. The only problem is it is very low to the ground and I had some rust issues. It is a fun car to drive since you spend time watching how well it does on gas. I rarely have to go to the gas station. Also has a very smooth ride.

Great car, lots of space inside.
It is very comfortable. It feels like it has more room on the inside than it looks like it does on the outside. The heated seats are wonderful during the winter, and heat up quicker than the rest of the car does, making it easier to drive sooner in the cold. The cargo area has a lot of space, and even the back seats are very roomy.

10 years and still going pretty strong.
Runs great for a city commuter. There are a few weird technical things that are glitching but the car is ten years old. There is also a leak at the back of the hatch but again, not bad for a ten year old car. I will say, the car is incredibly light and a good gust of wind on a high bridge will be felt, and can be a bit scary.

Great family and travel car.
Very reliable. Great mileage. Large trunk and storage room. Superb sound system with the tech pack. Average brake pad / plate life. Compromised battery system to outdoor elements. Technical system not as intuitive as newer models. Difficult driving in heavy snow and other terrain.

Overall great car with wonderful gas mileage.
So far I have no encountered too many issues with my car. There have been some brake issues but were solved promptly. I had a light issue as well but it was covered under a factory recall. It drives wonderful and is great on gas. The car charges while braking and seems to always been charged at least half way! I love this car and recommend it to anyone.

Minor inconvenience made up for by incredible gas mileage.
I have had my Prius for about 4 years and have not run into many issues. In the very cold months, I have had to jump start it if the battery has not been run in a few days but this issue has only happened a couple times. I love how the Prius is a smooth drive, very spacious, and has impeccable gas mileage.

The car has been reliable over the years. Not much maintenance. Still drives well. Had been sitting a lot so we will see how it holds up. Good on tires v breaks, etc. Hate the weird design between driver and passenger seat though. Not very much room left inside.

Great mileage and reliable.
I generally like my car. It gets great mileage and has been very reliable. I have the solar panel on tops that vents the car when it gets too hot and heated seats. The best feature by far has been the mileage. I bought the vehicle at 30,000 miles and now have more than 160,000 miles on it with tires being the only repair.

Thoughts on my Toyota Prius.
I have had very limited problems with my vehicle. With regular maintenance this car is one with significant longevity. In rain, snow, and ice it is as expected for being front wheel drive. It is very reliable. I have a basic Prius, so I do not have most of the extra features available on other models, however, I love my car and it is systems. Having Sirius XM is one of my favorite aspects of this car.

My fuel efficient, economical, smart and environmentally friendly Toyota Prius.
I love my Toyota Prius, I am environmentally conscious and I have loved owning my hybrid car for the past decade. It is compact, reliable and extremely economical. I have mainly used it for city driving with about 75% of highway and 25% inner city driving in the past decade. I am a petite driver and I love the feel of the Prius. There have been minimal maintenance issues with my vehicle and nothing out of the ordinary. It is roomy for my family of four and has served greatly as I ferried my children during their grade school years. It looks compact but has a reasonable amount of space in the trunk for regular grocery runs and the back seat has a 40-60 split that has been convenient for many an odd sized furniture or gardening purchase. Overall, with an average mileage of 48 miles/gal in the first 7 years, now down to 42 miles/gal, I can truly say that I could not have asked for a better car during one of the most active decades of my life where I was a working mother to two children and three dogs. I would recommend the Prius to anyone who is looking to invest in the environment and do their part in saving this planet.

Long lasting and low cost.
The Prius has served me well for 10 years and is still going strong. The high mpg means lower costs for gas. Maintenance has also been relatively low, with few issues occurring over the years. It is not a fast car, but it has no trouble keeping up with traffic. I have taken it on very long road trips and had no issues.

Prius: great gas mileage and so much more.
I love my car. Of course, the gas mileage is wonderful and everything I hoped for. But the car is super fun to drive, too. It is very comfortable inside. The seats are kind on long trips. The heat and ac get cranking fast, too. Even the console is perfect, everything I need all within reach, including buttons right on the steering wheel. I also love all of the screens that show me details about my fuel consumption.

Love my car: hatchback, totally foldable seats to lay things down, heated seats.
It now burns oil at high speeds after I hit 100,000 miles, but I just have to stay on top of adding/changing it. I absolutely love how it is no more expensive to maintain but half the price for gas as any other comparably sized car. Surprising get-up-and-go, and I really like the eco mode to save even more gas. I do not use the ev mode often as I am not in a large city, but that was great while on a road trip to Chicago.

Happy 2010 Prius owner, would buy again.
I really appreciate the lowered gas prices and it is incredibly cheap to repair. Parts are easily found and I can replace them myself. Power is of course lacking, but the tradeoff is fine in my opinion. Body is easily broken or cracked, but again easy to replace.

Why I bought a Toyota Prius.
I have a 2010 Toyota Prius. I really became interested in a Prius while on a vacation and had to rent a car. We got a Prius for that weekend and it opened my eyes. It is easy to drive, comfortable, has plenty of legroom in the back seat(a nice positive with children with long legs) and, did I mention that it is a hybrid that gets around 50 miles per gallon so it is easy on the pocketbook too. Toyota is a solid make and as long as you get it regularly maintained, the car you get will last you a long time. I bought my Prius as a used car and it is 10 years old with 126,000 miles with 200,000 miles the goal. I expect to surpass 200,000 miles with ease.

The Prius: a great small family car.
So far the car has been very reliable. We love that it is a hybrid car and does not guzzle gas as much as our other cars. The car is overall very comfortable and we love taking it on road trips and other long distance drives. One problem we have had is the catalytic converter underneath our car has gotten stolen 2 times. We solved this problem by getting a box type thing that we got installed around it making it impossible for it to get removed. Overall love this car!

Reliable and fun to drive.
We have owned this car for four years now and it has been utterly reliable. With just general maintenance and upkeep, it has not failed us once. It is also great to know we can hop in the car and go on a trip and it will hardly cost us any money. We often choose to drive rather than fly just because it is so reliable and fun to drive.

The Prius is great in snow as it is a front wheel drive vehicle.
I love my Prius. It is fun to drive. I can pass trucks in the mountains so has plenty of get up and go. It gets 42 miles to the gallon. The only things I have had to replace in 160,000 miles are tires, one battery and windshield wiper blades. Checked my brake pads the last oil change and they are still like new as the way a Prius is designed is to use the system as brakes. It charges the big battery when I brake somehow also. It is not real comfortable on long trips but the mileage makes up for the less comfortable seats. I do need to get the headlights buffed as they are scratched looking and the dealership said they could do that for $100 I think to make them look new again. I have been told the big Prius battery should last 400,000 miles or more and I will keep this Prius for as long as it runs and then buy another one. You only change oil every 10,000 miles and rotate tire. I was told that it is the least expensive vehicle on the road today. Costs $.07 a mile to drive it. I love it when I fill it up. Has a 11 gallon tank and goes 400 miles without a fill up. I love the money I save with my Toyota Prius.

Consistently great gas mileage with a comfortable ride for your commute.
I have driven this car for 250,000 miles and had few to zero major problems. The gas mileage has stayed great. The electronics have been top notch with the factory upgrades that come with the iv trim. The one minor design issue I have had is that it is a tight fit for a rear facing car seat in the back. If you had two children under a certain age they'd be impossible to fit and not have your chest firmly in the steering wheel. But having used this car as a commuter for work and as a car for long trips across the country, I give it great marks.

Life of the Prius, a short story.
It is a great car with great gas mileage. Only costs around $25 to fill up the tank. It is well over 100,000 miles and still driving perfectly. It has a great sound system especially for the size of the car. The seats are comfortable and the car is spacious.

Blind spot, comfortable for small family.
I love my Prius I have not had any major issues with it at all. For a small family it is very comfortable if I had a large family thought it would be too small. I wish the trunk area was bigger and the front window has a bar coming down on the side that makes visibility difficult at times because it creates a very big blind spot.

There are so many positives about owning a Toyota Prius. The first and most obvious is the fuel savings. I just love driving all week and then filling up an almost empty tank for only 20 bucks. The gas mileage that I get on the Prius is great and helpful for road trips. It is very quiet and I do not feel as though it is 'aggressive' sounding. Overlooked small details make the car a better choice.
There are several reasons that I appreciate my car. The excellent gas mileage is chief among them but there are several features that I feel like get overlooked. I love the fact that the truck is totally open to the rest of the car if you put the seats down. I have been able to haul furniture in my car without an issue. In my particular model the console in the middle comes up fairly high and arches a bit. For resting your arm this is okay but if you drop something on the passenger side, you have to get out of the car and open the passenger side door to retrieve it. I also do not like the fact that every surface is curved. The reason is that you cannot use a car mount for your phone because the suction cup does not adhere to anything. I do really enjoy having a backup camera though.

The Toyota Prius so quiet sometimes I do not realize its running. It gets wonderful gas mileage. With regular maintenance I have had zero issues with the car, it has driven and run perfectly since day one. It is not a zero to sixty in two seconds car. It will go the normal highway speeds up to eighty-five easily. Just when you hit the gas it does not do a jack rabbit start.

Only get 30-31 mpg, should get at least 40 mpg! No matter what I do, keep tires pressures good, use gas treatment, keep the engine tuned up, change oil, trans oil, etc. I get even less mpg in the winter around 27-28 mpg, Toyota says the rubber gasket in the gas tank is the cause, but I do not believe it.

Very affordable with few drawbacks.
My biggest complaint involves the ac/heating, as, from what I understand, is common for hybrid vehicles. It takes significantly longer to heat up compared to other vehicles I have driven, apparently due to the reduced heat produced by the engine. On the other hand, it is great for my wallet, as I have to pay for gas only once a month, and spend maybe $15 each time. Another drawback is that getting up to speed on the highway is very difficult, and therefore potentially dangerous. Overall, I quite like the car. It is cheap, easy to maintain, and a perfect size for small groups/driving alone.

I have an excellent Prius car. I it has windshield wipers, parking lights hood, headlights, front side marker lights, front turn signal lights and many other great features. Fantastic fog lights, fuel filler door, side doors, rear window wiper, rear window defogger, license plate light, tail and rear side marker lights and head restraints.

Smooth ride, and great gas mileage! Hybrid cars are the way to go.
It is a Prius IV, which has a solar sunroof. It is fully loaded with all options and I love that. My only complaint is the resale value dropped unbelievably like no other car I've ever owned when it was only about 7 years old.

Pstt I have got the 411 on this little car of fun.
Other than the seats needing a little extra padding it is wonderful! It fits the 2 kids and the baby seat in the back with a full trunk for baby bags plus all the groceries. Not only that it has an eco mode driving to help save some extra gas or there's a power mode that keeps a 6 cylinder on its toes.

I get good fuel economy and the car is very easy to park
I like the fuel economy. I do not like the back up visibility. It is not a comfortable ride. The Prius is easy to park

More than you'd expect from a hybrid.
It performs really well - better than you'd expect. Gas mileage is phenomenal. My only complaint is that there is a lot of road noise. It requires turning up the radio really loud when listening to audio books. Otherwise, it is roomier, comfier, and smoother than I imagined a tiny little hybrid to be.

The back has a lot of room. Fit a 60 in TV in the back.
Reliable, incredibly fuel efficient and has a surprising amount of space! I am tall and have problems finding a car with enough leg room. Plenty in the Prius. I also used my car for camping and slept with a twin air mattress in the back with plenty of space!

Excellent gas mileage and a big enough tank that is perfect for road trips.
It has excellent gas mileage and is very reliable. It is small enough to park anywhere but has lots of storage space. Dislikes would be I wish it had a better alarm for break-ins.

I Love My Toyota Prius Car
Performance of the Toyota Prius is great as it has excellent gas mileage, is very low maintenance and extremely reliable for everyday driving or long family road trips. The Prius is comfortable, has lots of room in the trunk for storage, including lay flat fold down seats for more room. I would recommend this car over and over to anyone wanting a good, long lasting, comfortable and cost effective and environmentally friendly vehicle.

It's very reliable and it gets excellent gas mileage.
I like having an environmentally friendly vehicle that gets good gas mileage. I have had no unpleasant repair surprises. I would recommend the Prius.

My 2010 Toyota Prius: I love it.
It is a smooth drive, which I do not have to fill up very often due to it is hybrid status. It is reliable and comfortable. The back seat is spacious and parts of it are waterproof which is essential for my hobbies. Wow this has to be long. It comfortably seats 4 people with capability for 5.

The electric hybrid wonder
I love the electric hybrid. I save on gas and am helping the environment. It's also a compact car but feels spacious inside.

The vehicle that I own is very great because it saves money on gas since it uses less.
When I first bought it, it was going to be my first car that I've ever owned myself that I have also bought using my own money, and I was not disappointed.

The 2010 Prius is a delight.
Smooth but loud ride. Comfortable front and back seats and legroom, double glove compartment is a great bonus. The trunk with or without the seats folded up is very spacious. Reliable and easy to clean. The need for a map disc is annoying to say the least but all the other controls are intuitive and easy to get used to. Plenty of storage areas and charging plug ins.

The joystick for the car is very unique and is not seen in other cars.
My Toyota Prius is an amazing car the seats are comfortable and made of cloth and the overall design is very nice. The joystick is very unique and really fits to the form of your hand. My only complaints about this car in the minor blind spots in the front windshield on the sides.

It gets more than 50 MPH, but is sometimes lacking in power when it counts.
I love the gas mileage. I don't like the lack of power, especially going up hills. Even with it floored, it's nearly impossible to maintain speed going up a hill.

A Prius is a good car to get, especially for your children as a first car.
It is a good car overall. Very good for going long distances at a time, like if you are going on a road trip. There is not very much to complain about. It does it is job, and it does it well. However, there have been issues with the bumper coming off and things like that. But those issues were easily fixed.

It is VERY fuel-efficient.
I dislike the idea of having to spend at least $3,000 at the point when the battery malfunctions. I am basically forced to get a new car.

It gets great gas mileage!
My car is comfortable and reliable. It gets great gas mileage. It has a really nice sunroof. One problem is the headlight was faulty and it had to be replaced a lot and than the recall to have it fixed was time consuming. Another problem is it bottoms out really easily and gets paint scratches in parking areas because Its so low to the ground. The wind shield wipers have never been that great. Satellite radio doesn't come in well either. My biggest complaint is the back window is difficult to see out of. The window is slanted and theres 2 windows making it challenging to see when Its night time or snowing.

The most important thing is that it is an eco-friendly car.
I like that it is a hybrid car so I save a bit on gas. It is small and that is the perfect size. The only dislike I have is that the starter battery doesn't last very long.

Best car purchase ever, super satisfied.
Super reliable, runs well, comfortable, very happy, cheap, great mileage, low maintenance, good legroom and cabin space, low repair cost, easy to park, easy to clean, would buy again. Convert to Prius, will buy again in future. Convinced my parents to get one too.

Gas mileage is better than traditional gas fueled cars
I love that my car is a hybrid, is a hatchback, and gets great gas mileage. I do not love that it's not fully electric or powered by clean/ solar power, I hate that the headrests are not ponytail/ updo friendly. My Prius has been very reliable though.

That it's better for single people and couples than big families.
It's a bit small, but gets good fuel economy and makes clever use of the interior.
accountCircle Danielle G on January 10, 2021
Great for road trips and camping.
I love that it averages 44 miles to the gallon, it feels light to drive, and it's very quiet on the road. The hatchback allows for lots of things to be stored with the back seat up and even more room for when the seat is down. I once fit an 88-key electric piano lengthwise for a wedding I played in. This is a great car for road trips and camping.

The reliable 2010 Prius I own.
Vehicle is very reliable. Used for 10 years with over 150,000 miles and haven't had any major issues. Comfort is great but would recommend getting Bluetooth version. Seats are a little hard to clean but not a huge issue. Speakers are bass-heavy. Car has withstood test of time.

Problems that need to be looked at.
It's a great car for the most part. Parts are way too expensive to replace. And after awhile the electric seems to go. Lots of miles per gallon of gas. About 10$ to fill. Great for trips. Needs to be more affordable for people. My speedometer shuts off when I start the car and wouldn't come back on. So I have no idea what my speed limit is. At times I also can't shut the car off. Which is not okay at all. Or safe.
