This Toyota highlander SUV is extremely dependable, reliable, easy to handle and performs very well in all types of weather conditions. My wife and I feel very safe with this particular vehicle with our two very young children. The gas mileage is reasonable. Great folding seats fits even more passengers in the far back of the SUV also.

Reliable, comfortable, nice to drive with decent gas mileage
Super reliable car since it's a Toyota. We use third row seating which is great for an SUV (vs minivan), unfortunately there isn't much trunk space at all when the seat's up. Decent gas mileage, no bells or whistles, but nice display and console.

Hybrid battery has a shelf life.
I like the gas efficiency, size, outdoor abilities, comfort, ease of driving. I do not like that if a hybrid battery dies the car is worthless.

It's sturdy and I feel safe in it. The visibility and height make me feel safe in traffic.

It has a third row seat and can switch out the middle row for bench seats or console.

Toyota vehicles last a long time.
I like my vehicle because it is a decent size SUV. It has lasted 10 years and it's going strong. The engine has not given me any troubles and I only do a regular oil change without any other service.

Toyota Highlander 2008, one of the best vehicles over ever owned.
Very reliable, has had minimal problems, in the time we have had it we've had to replace the battery, and besides regular maintenance of oil changes and tire rotation it has been a great car. It is very comfortable, we've taken it on several long distance road trips and found it to be enjoyable and a smooth ride. Our kids fit easily into the back row, this includes two car seats. The trunk is very spacious. One of my favorite features!

Safe, reliable, and affordable.
Excellent car, great visibility, good gas mileage. Have only had to do routine maintenance, replace brakes, tires, and original battery in 5 years I have owned it. I have never broken down on the side of the road.

Very reliable long lasting family car.
Really good and reliable vehicle. Been over 1 years and still no problem with machine. Only thing is I wish the hybrid battery would charge more, it only holds a little bit I can only drive less than 5 minutes with the battery. The performance is good still, nice features inside and outside, backup camera is a plus.

It has good acceleration when you pull out which makes it easy to merge into traffic. Also it sits high so I have good visibility and feel safe.

Great midsize SUV for a family.
I love the pop up 3rd row seating. I also appreciate that it gets decent gas mileage, and handles okay in the snow. It wasn't as good in snow drifts as i'd hoped but better than a car!

My ten dogs and I love it!
I love my highlander! It has been reliable, comfortable, and meets my needs well! It is had a few recalls and Toyota has fixed all for free. It was a mild inconvenience to take to shop but considering the issues my friends have had with their vehicles I feel very blessed! Will always but Toyota!

Cams had to be replaced way too soon. Very disappointed that had to put so much money in it so soon.
I like the vehicle but have had to replace the cams in the motor. 1st one was right after warranty expired, 2nd one was less than a year later.

To sum it all up, the car is just old.
Expensive on gas, the car doesn't run smoothly, the volume knob inside the car is broken, doesn't offer Bluetooth, fan belt makes a squeaking noise as well as the brakes. Uncomfortable to drive because you can feel everything, back right window won't go down or up.

Highlander limited is a solid car, adaptable and fun to drive anywhere!
The Toyota highlander is extremely versatile and that it allows me to transport passengers and cargo easily. This s uv is a pleasure and fun to drive safe and reliable. Some of my favorite features about this s over the heated seats the backup camera and the suspension. The only thing that I would change would be the size of the tires which are extremely expensive to replace. That is not enough however for me to give this SUV a solid 10!

2008 Toyota highlander still going strong.
My Toyota highlander has been very reliable. No mechanical issues. Regular maintenance of breaks etc. I regularly change the oil. I have cloth seats and they are very comfortable and have held up well (2008 model). The only issue I had early on was difficulty finding tires to fit the rims and they were expensive. Now I am able to find tires more easily and more reasonably priced. The turning radius is not great on this older model.

It is full of technology, wishing other Toyotas offered as much as the Highlander.
I am a loyal Toyota fan so it's no surprise that I would own a Highlander. I love the gas milage and the third row the best. Not as pleased with the newer models, but will most likely purchase another Toyota, possible a four runner, but disappointed that the hatch doesn't have a button to open it.

It is a very reliable, sturdy car.
My paint is starting to peel, in the past 3 years I have had to replace a water pump and evaporator both of which cost me 1200-1700 to repair at the dealership. I would say it is holding up pretty well, just your normal wear and tear problems. Dependable car, just expensive to repair.

It's a limited edition, so that is a plus. I love the heated seats, although I wish the heat went all over and not just the bottom. I love the Toyota brand, so there's not much to complain about.

Details about my highlander that my family and I love!
It is a White highlander and it has 3rd row and has wonderful room for the size of my family. I have love it and the ride feels smooth when you drive. Oil changed regularly and any maintenance is taken care of straight away. There was an alternator issue but it was replaced and it took care of it. My kids love it also because there is a DVD player in it.

I love my Toyota highlander! Knock on wood, I have never had any service problems with the car. I get oil changes every 5 thousand miles and have never had any major issues. Replaced brakes, tires and an oxygen sensor over the past 10 years. I hope this car runs for another 10 years!!

I love the spaciousness of the inside. It is perfect for a family of 4. The trunk pace is huge but doesn't make the truck seem too big. The captain chairs are amazing when having two boys who can't stand to touch each other in the back seat.
Size of an SUV but drives more like a car which is helpful for someone transitioning into a suv.

This vehicle has been incredible. We have put 100,000 miles on it in the last 9 years and have had almost no problems with it. The only problem we have encountered was due to a recall. Once that was resolved, it was clear sailing.

Great car, minor improvements.
Had issues with the tires, rear view mirror fell off, very comfortable on long rides, spacious second seat, third row seats cramped, large trunk space, have not had any real engine problems, paint does peel easy when rocks hit the front, some louder noises within car while driving, smooth ride.

The Toyota highlander hybrid.
The car is beautiful! Roomy, very reliable, good gas mileage for an SUV, and very comfortable! Only downfall would be the hybrid battery. It is quite expensive to fix. This is my first and last hybrid. I have had some issues with the battery, including a $2500 breakdown. . But my next vehicle will be a newer (non hybrid) highlander!

I love my Toyota highlander and don't want to get rid of it. I will drive it until it completely dies on me. The only issue I have had with it is that the battery drains fairly quickly (one year) so I have had it replaced a few times. I have heard this is a problem with all highlanders.

Great for hauling around a family, and provides flexibility with the third row that folds down.
It has 146,000 miles on it and it's still going strong. I bought it because I knew it would be reliable. I'm also comfortable in it and enjoy driving it. It has an third row that can be folded down. When it's in use, it pretty much eliminates the trunk of the vehicle, which is a bit of a bummer.

Toyota highlanders are great!
I truly love my highlander. It drives like a car but has the room of a mini van with the third row. The only negative is when the third row is up there is very little storage room behind the seats. Other than that it is a great vehicle. Easy to get in and out of, plenty of room for a family of 5. Acceleration is great, handles well in rain and snow, and gas mileage is. Pretty good for a v6 SUV.

My Highlander is 11 years old, but people still think it's new.
I own a Toyota Highlander Limited 2008. The only problem we tend to have with it is the a/c. It has a leak. We need to get it fixed, but for now we are charging it. Performance is top-notch. Easy to park. It has a nice growl when revving the engine. My highlander has never left me stranded. It has never needed extensive repairs beyond basic maintenance. The highlander is super comfortable. Has leather seats with adjustable back support. We have driven 13-14 hours and have only had normal stiffness. The highlander features a full rear view camera, DVD player and GPS updated by CD.

Great family car but trendy enough you still look cool driving it.
I absolutely love my highlander. It has a very smooth ride. Spacious interior with an additional folding 3rd row in the back. All leather seats with heat in front and passenger side. The lift gate has an easy push button or key fob button to open or close. Also has sunroof/moonroof. Plenty of cup holders for every seat including additional cup holder sections in every door. Individual temperature controls. Sliding lighted vanity mirrors in sun visors. V8 engine loss of power. Great family car but has a sharp sporty look. I get a lot of compliments on it. Most people can't believe it's a 2008 model. The only problem I have had with it is the drain tubes to the sunroof became clogged once and when it rained it drained into my floor board. Luckily my husband is a mechanic and knew what the problem was it was an easy fix. Other than that it has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned its 11 years old and drives as well as the day I got it. No major issues. Just regular maintenance.

It has enormous space to pack luggage in the trunk.
Brakes are a little hard. Overall the car has good mileage and is efficient. It also is very easy to clean interior because it has leather seating. The steering wheel is easy to maneuver. It also has a GPS navigation system that tells you nearby food and gas when you are on the road. The seats are easy to put forward.

You get dependability with a Toyota. It breaks down less and gets decent gas mileage.
I like the dependability of my Toyota; it is not my first Toyota. It runs well and only needs regular maintenance. What I don't like about it: When I purchased this vehicle used, I was told that it has 4 wheel drive, which it doesn't. The front wheel drive is terrible; skids often. The CD player skips cds, so I can't use it. And one of the charging ports doesn't work well.

It's a hybrid SUV, so it's more fuel efficient than most SUVs, but it also has a 6-cylinder engine, so it's peppy!
I love the size, the features, and the performance. It is a hybrid vehicle, so I thought I'd get better gas mileage than I do (somewhat disappointed). It has really large blind spots, which I don't like, it's difficult to see pedestrians!

Although it is described as 4WD by Toyota, it has no off-road capability. It's really more accurately described as All Wheel Drive (AWD)
I like the ride comfort, performance, ergonomics and amenities. I wish the gas mileage was better and the 3rd row seating was more comfortable.

This SUV is great to drive in the City, as well as for Road trips.
Living in Colorado an All-wheel drive vehicle/ -SUV is a must. The Toyota Highlander is big enough for family travel, but small enough to fit in regular parking spot. I love to see well ahead of me when driving. My SUV has third row seating and I can fit 7 people in my car. Or I can put the seats down to extend my trunk to load bigger items.

Spacious SUV with a sporty look.
This vehicle has been a game changer. The backup camera allows us to check if there are any children behind us before leaving a parking lot, and the amount of space gives us ample room to lug all of our camping gear for weekend trips. I love the comfort and size of my Highlander. It gets good mileage and has plenty of size for tailgating and carrying my friends and family around town.

Versatile and Reliable Vehicle
HAs been a reliable vehicle for many years, has not had any major problems, great though the winter, in the snow. I would recommend to a friend looking to buy a new car. Fits equipment on the top and inside, perfect for commuting or mild off roading to go into the outdoors.

It is a Toyota and should last a long time.
It is a very smooth ride. It gets good gas mileage. It is also a good fit coming down from a suburban, but still having that SUV feel. I have found no problems with this type of automobile. I love the keyless start button and the sizable space in the back.
