Save gas, low mileage, very comfortable car
My hyundai elantra only get me to A and B distance, very small, save a lot of gas. I kinda love this car.

Interesting aspect of vehicle is that it has been a member of my family.
Have had to adjust engine issues, replace the headlights, install new radio system, and even install a new bumper. The steering of power required alternated methods in order to adjust and even readjust the system in order to remove the check engine light from blinking the lights.

Nice comfortable car. Great on gas.
It's been a reliable car. Had to do a tune up recently. Great on gas mileage. Easy to drive. Handles curves very well. No hesitation with throttle. Plenty of room in the back of kids or adults. Has a fairly good size trunk big enough for a good grocery haul or bicycle if you turn it just right. Good insulation from road noise so it's not a noisy ride going down the interstate. Good suspension that's not too rough over bumpy areas. Nicely designed pretty looking car.

Follow recommended maintenance schedule and vehicle will last beyond its years
At 16 yrs old this car needs a catalytic converter. I do not know of damage to it. I believe it's worn and needs replaced. The AC is inop. Besides normal wear and tear car is in great condition. Just purchased used from the first owner. Could not be happier

Four doors, very large trunk and back seat. Great speakers
The air only blows out face vent, back tail light is busted but still works, trunk has issues closing. Perfect amount of miles for a work car. Great on gas and affordable to fill up, radio works awesome. Tires in great condition, donut in the trunk in its own spot

2003 Hyundai Elantra overview.
My car is kind of old and pretty loud but I love it. The grass mileage is great and it is never broken down on me. The radio is spotty but it plays CDs and has a AUX cord option. The trunk space is good and I am able to both take friends with me places and move smaller furniture. The color is gold which is exactly what I wanted for my car and the four door accessibility is way better than a two door. My school is kind of far away from where I live so that has mileage is a great money saver. It is got a couple dents and rings but it does not look bad at all. I guess the major thing is that it can be pretty loud when I accelerate. The humming can be almost deafening and I have got to really turn up the volume of the music I play. It is got a really convenient spot right underneath the CD port to store a couple CDs which I really do like a lot. My windshield wipers are kind of old but they came with the car and they get the job done. I take it in for repairs and check ups every now and again with a local Hyundai dealer.

I would highly recommend this car, mainly a newer model though.
I have to say that I am very pleased with my Elantra. The ride is smooth and it does not use much gas, even in city driving..Additionally, the interior is spacious and very comfortable 2.

It is fast and easy to take care of.
It's a little too small. Cramped up in the front. It is very good on mileage and until it hit 150,000 miles repairs were minimal.

Its a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, that has been wrecked. Has dent in rear passenger door and a plexiglass window in the front passenger window which does not go down. It has something wrong with the fuel or exhaust line. It's a very loud car. It needs new tires.

Great safe family car. Low maintenance and very reliable.
The car is a reliable, spacious and economical mode of transport. It is no looker and the interiors are dull and grey. Build quality is at par with industry average but surprisingly the car does not feel tinny. The 4 cylinder is very smooth but gets buzzy at high revs and power delivery is linear as expected from a compact sedan with economy in mind. The ride is neither too harsh nor too plush. It is somewhere in between. Handling is abysmal in tight turns through the steering is well weighted. Fuel economy is good. All electricals work seamlessly. It is very reliable and starts at the first crank every time. Cheap to own and run as well. Overall a perfect car on a shoestring budget!

Reliable/comfortable
This car had 225,000 miles when I purchased it for 1800$ 5 speed air,all electric, the issues I had with it is; cv joints, clutch ,radiator, water pump, altanator .most of the repair is due to it got stolen about 2 months ownership. My local police chase it down about a week after it was stolen. It was a mess when my insurance got it out of impoundment. Nothing torn as for interior.Carpet stains, some burnt marks. A few minor scratches, but no dents. When I drove it home, I notice left cv joint making noise, clutch alot weaker. My stereo gone that I had installed. Bottom line I fell in love with this car. I fixed it as it would break,or wore out. That all took place in 2014 when i purchased it.Since then I have 278,00 miles and it still gets good mileage, drives great, everything works, just needs a fresh coat of grey paint. Thinking of resto it??

Very reliable. We got it used and the only issue we've ever had was fixed by replacing the spark plugs. Has other issues, but only due to age, not any issues with the actual make or model. It's a very good car from a reliable company. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The alignments is off and apparently something is bent, I don't currently have enough money for repairs, it is ripping through my tires and I have to keep replacing them with cheap tires, the tail light is out and actually broken, some of the interior is starting to fall off and there dents in the body not to mention the front bumper is ripped up.

Has been a very reliable car for its age. It has power windows and locks and gets me where I need to go.
My 2003 hyundai elantra has over 200,000 miles on it and I have recently replaced quite a few main components. Alternator, started, and battery all at the same time. Quite a few fuses have started going bad and looked burnt. I have since then replaced them and my car seems to be doing better. I have an oil leak that has started from the engine block. I think the seal has gone bad there.

Very reliable until recently.
Car has been fantastic until the last few months. Have had to replace the breaks a few times and the whole exhaust system. Got the car with very low mileage from the previous owner and it was a great first car and got the most use out of it. Was very good for every type of trip, reliable, good mileage, etc. Up until recently. I plan on driving this car until I literally cannot anymore and then I will get a hybrid or electric car.

Long-lasting 2003 Hyundai Elantra.
My car was bought pre-owned with almost 100, 000 miles already on it. Since then it is gotten pretty close to, if not passed, 150, 000 miles on it. The car still works perfectly fine, but I have had to replace a lot of things on it. My tires constantly lose pressure even though I have just replaced them all. I have replaced the breaks and the alternator. Perhaps this is due to how the car was treated before ending up in my possession. I have no issues with how the dash is set up. It is comfortable to sit in. It has a sunroof that you can open/close with a slider to block the sun as well. The speaker system is nice. It is an old car so it is really not as fancy as some of the new ones, but it is my first car and it is lasted me several years so far.
accountCircle Noelle H on April 29, 2020
The car at least gets me to where I am going.
I bought the car as is at a used car dealership. I have had the car for 5-6 months and the power steering has a leak so it has never worked. The gas gauge is never accurate and I have run out of gas on more than one occasion. The interior is comfortable. I am thinking about getting a new radio/stereo system because it only plays cassette tapes.

In the back, the doors do not open from the inside and the windows do not work.
The steering belt has snapped at least three times within the past year. The air belt constantly continues to make a screeching sound. Both of the back doors do not open from the inside and the only windows that do work are those of the drivers and passengers. Performance wise, it drives just fine but can eat up the gas. It is quiet comfortable to sit in.

Older car, so it has some issues, but otherwise reliable and comfortable.
Belts are worn out, battery has been replaced, tires need to be aligned often (about once a month, sometimes more, sometimes less), struts were worn, gas tank has an issue and requires slow pouring of gas - otherwise it'll trigger the gas pump auto stop; car runs fairly well despite it is age, and the small turn radius makes for excellent turning (especially U-turns); the radio, CD player, and other features all work fairly well except the fact that the clock is broken (cannot change the time at all) and the CD player does not play home-made or mixed CDs (not a big issue, just slightly disappointing); the comfort is great for someone short like myself, but tends to be a little awkward for those who are taller (5'10 and above, as far as I have seen) or who weight a bit more (such as over 250-300 lbs.); features include CD player, am/FM radio (works great), adjustable seats, auto locking (works only on driver's side, auto locks and unlocks when locking or unlocking driver door) - can be a bit inconvenient but has it is benefits, auto windows with auto roll feature (will roll down by themselves when the window button on driver's side is held down for a certain number of seconds, works only for down and on driver's side), medium sized trunk with room for spare tire and fold-down back seats to make extra room, back seats are spacious and comfortable.

I have had almost no problems with the Elantra. It has been a very reliable and efficient auto. Perfect Pizza Delivery Vehicle
I bought my 2003 Elantra used with almost 130k miles on the odometer from one previous owner, which was fairly low for being a 16 year old vehicle. However, the vehicle was not cared for very well in the past. Upon further inspection I had to replace a cracked radiator, the axle shaft assemblies for worn out CV joints, rotted timing belt, and a weak fuel pump. Small things were tightened and fixed here and there and now the vehicle is running extremely well. I have driven it for almost 10k miles in the last 3 months delivering pizzas and I feel I could easily go over 200k without major problems. It is easy and affordable to maintain and a good starter vehicle for someone who is learning how to work on cars. The only problem that currently bothers me is the stiff ride because the shocks require replacement, but I don't want to spend too much money on this car apart from preventive and routine jobs. Sometimes the automatic transmission will take time to go from third to fourth, but nothing too alarming for an older vehicle. I like having power windows, air conditioning, and sun glass holder on a base model, however it was a big shock trying to adapt without cruise control. The trunk space looks huge for such a small sedan, the turning radius is excellent, and I appreciate the good gas mileage. Overall, it is a bland looking vehicle without anything special, which is just the way I like it. It will serve me well as long as I take good care of it.

Smaller than you would expect, but more dependable than you can imagine.
The size of my vehicle really works for me, as someone who travels and moves around a lot it has a comfortable amount of space to fit my belongings. It handles nicely while driving, and I have honestly avoided several accidents when people weren't looking/paying attention and I had to move around them at the last minute. It brakes quickly and efficiently. The only problem I have is that the parking brake seems to stick sometimes, and even when I think it is down my car still has troubles moving forward quickly. This is probably only due to its age, however.

While due to past owners lack of maintenance, there have been a lot of issues with the engine and specifically the radiator. But past that, it's a very reliable car, once I got the radiator fixed it's been in great shape. The sound system is really good, and the seats are comfortable. It is V4 engine and uses relatively less gas than most cars. The grey color of mine is awesome.
I love the size. I really like the electronics of the car and the interior. I don't like the driver seat too much as it is a bit uncomfortable for me. I love the speaker system to play my music and the aux is nice but I wish it had bluetooth so I could connect my phone.

Very reliable in traveling, great gas mileage, and doesn't cost much to fill up either.
It is a small, maroon sedan. Perfect for my needs in traveling and my commutes to and from work. Never had any engine issues or anything, runs very well.

Very long lasting and incredibly reliable.
My car is nearly 16 years old and drives like its brand new. Over the years, I have only had one major issue (the transmission) but everything else runs great. If I had to buy another car, I would buy the exact same make and model. I am able to fit everything I need in the car and it has helped me move several times. I find the seats incredibly comfortable and the car is very roomy. It is very easy to drive, particularly the turning radius is great.

Its a manual transmission and a lot of people don't know how to drive that.
I like that its a manual transmission and looks like a Saab, I dislike it because it's red. I also like that it's great on gas, 20 dollars usually gives me enough gas for the week with all my driving.

Very reliable, low maintenance car - worth the money you spend for it
It has high mileage and still runs well. I've had to put very little into it as far as repairs. It's been a very good car and I would purchase another Hyundai.
