Loads of power and lots of room for larger families.
Cons: power liftgate failed on rear hatch, transmission failed around 90k miles, back up camera sensors failed and third rows leg room is cramped. Pros: super comfy, lots of room, seats 8, four wheel drive, forward facing camera that adds extra safety features. Auto lights and rainsense wipers and numerous storage compartments. Engine switches between a v8 and v6 to be more gas efficient, lots of power!

Will always own a Chevy Tahoe.
I love Chevy and I love the Tahoe. Its large enough to haul stuff but still has a 'car' feel. I feel very safe in my Tahoe. Dependable and sturdy. Will always buy Chevy Tahoe. Love the features. Heated and cooled seats (live in Texas) heated steering wheel. Air bags. 4wd. Great audio system.

An in-depth review on the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe lt is a car that performs highly throughout its lifespan. The only problems I have had with it are problems with the air conditioning, as it only occasionally works. Other than that, the engine performs well and the car itself runs and handles like a coupe or a sedan. It is reliable, as it has lasted me over 120 miles in only 4 years and can comfortably fit 7-8 people into it. The best features on it are the safety features, when you are too close to an object, the car vibrates as if it is telling you to stop. The CarPlay feature is another personal favorite, as I have access to everything I would need on my phone from music to phone calls. Overall, this is a great car.

I feel safe when riding or driving the Tahoe. It is big enough so that you can see around you.
It is a little hard to park at times. It is hard to see off the front of the hood because it is so high.

Overall the Chevy Tahoe is a very spacious, reliable and luxurious vehicle.
I love my Chevy Tahoe. The leather and interior color and fabric is amazing. I love the bucket seats in the middle and I love how the very back seats fold all the way down instead for having to be pulled completely pulled out. The color of my Tahoe is black and I love that as well. The only thing I wish it would have come with is a luggage rack on top. When all the seats are up there is not very much room in the very back so it would be nice if there was a luggage rack. The center console is very large and has a light in it as well making finding things at night or in the dark much easier. Overall I love my Tahoe so much.

Super luxurious Chevrolet Tahoe lt.
It is an amazing SUV. The lt model comes generously loaded with everyday modern luxuries, technology, and looks visually appealing. You can feel the strong v8 engine with a tap of the gas pedal. The interior is just as visually appealing with the black leather, wood grain interior, navigation, nothing feels half assed or cheap about this car. I enjoy my Chevy Tahoe and feel confident driving it.

I love the room my care has. I also love the quietness whole in the back.
It is a smooth ride, with plenty of room for kids or a large family

Chevy Tahoe perfect for families!
The Tahoe has 3rd row seating which is great! However, the trunk space when the 3rd row is up is a bit small. The gas mileage is about as expected. Love the GPS system and the back-up camera. It also has an entertainment system with a DVD player which is great for families with small children.

2016 Tahoe
I loved my 2016 Tahoe and never had ANY problems until this week. My transmission died. Replacement cost of $6,000. 6 months past warranty. Research has noted that this is a common problem in this 2016 Tahoe. Even my Chevy serviceman states this. He stated that he has changed many even if they were perfectly and professionally maintained on a regular basis. This is pretty disappointing for a very expensive vehicle. There appears to be a class action suit against GM stating that GM knows this is occurring and has not properly helped customers. We will never buy this vehicle again.

40,000 miles bad transmission line crimps
I have a 2016 Tahoe, with transmission line seeping at the crimp. My mileage was out of warranty at 40,000 but still had time 1 month left of the warranty time. I call GM to see if they would honor this because why would a crimped transmission line at the front where the radiator is seep fluid unless it was a bad crimp. After numerous calls to GM and they were claimingto see what they could do, by playing games and not calling back, and then when they did just to say it was escalated to management. A month later they are coming back stating they will not offer any assistance for item.Beware buying GM, I have owned GM all my life and have purchased several large SUV vehicles and never had this lousy customer service nor a bad transmission crimp within 40,000 miles. They want $482.00 to repair this faulty crimp that should not have gone bad.No more GM vehicles or Service!BUYER BEWARE!

Love the Tahoe but many issues.
Where do I start, I drive my Tahoe for work all highway miles (95%). Tires, brakes, water pump, transmission replacement at my expense the list goes on. I have spent about $15,000 in repairs. Never in my 40+ years of owning vehicles have I ever had anything close to these multiple issues.

2016 Tahoe is a lemon. Beware!
This Tahoe has been nothing but problems from the beginning. Brakes and tires both needed to be replaced at 25000 miles. Defogger in rear broke. Computer that helps GPS went bad. Arm rests in bucket seats broke. The list goes on and on... I am now at 36000 miles and had to have the rotors resurfaced! This truck is too expensive for all these problems. My 2007 Tahoe never had any problems.

Good for families on a budget.
They are very spacious. There is a good amount of trunk space. It is a good car for families. They are expensive to fill up. They are expensive to maintain. They require the most expensive type of oil. They require certain tires. Parts for this car are easy to find though.

Overall nice vehicle
After looking for months I finally found a 2016 Tahoe that was in my price range. A week or two after buying the Tahoe I heard a clunk-clunk-clunk in the rear so I got out and looked at the tires and found out that the passenger side rear break caliper assembly was loose took it to my mechanic and after taking the wheel off found out that the mechanic that put the new tires and breaks on at the dealer (Paramus Land Rover/ Jaguar) before putting it on the lot for sale never put the 2 bolts in to hold the break on so it was just moving around. Then not long after that I noticed my windshield leaks when it rains and my headliner gets wet and then found out my air conditioner doesn't work and my mechanic said that it is a problem that GM is aware of and they won't do anything about it or fix it, something about the welds cracking and leaking and here it is in the 90s this week and I'm driving around with no air sweating my butt off

Functionality of the ride.
Computer systems and software seem to break down easily. Heavy to steer, can be hard to handle. Braking systems are not great. Engine power/ horse power is not as advertised. Cell phone charging station is not updated. Seats are not versatile. Blind spots are larger than advertised.
accountCircle Michelle S
There is not a lot of storage behind the third row of seats and the computer for the cameras often malfunctions.
I dislike the lack of space behind the third row. (We have 4 kids and need the space). I like the features of charging phones/tablets around the car. I dislike the gas mileage.

Pros from Owners

Smooth ride, road assistance features work great - they alert you when you are too close to a vehicle in front of you, when you veer out of the lane, and when you are too close to something when backing up, the seats are comfortable, spacious, fits up to 8 people, no mechanical issues, overall great car.

likeFilled Lady P.

Large and good for big family's. Car is nice and has a touch screen display that connect to Bluetooth. Navigation. Car can connect to in star if needed. You can put down the 3rd row for more space in back for storage.

likeFilled Akebia G.

Size, gas mileage and comfort. The Tahoe handles beautifully and it is very comfortable. The cargo space is large enough to carry most of the items I need. Love the interior and exterior trim on my vehicle.

likeFilled Mike L.

Reliability, mileage, power, space, it is perfect for transporting my friends and myself along with everything we decide to transport with us upon our particular journey. The reliability and safety features provided by this particular vehicle make me feel completely reassured that there will be no difficulties or mechanical mishaps during whatever trip we are taking.

Roomy comfortable can hold 8 people it is a really safe vehicle big and sturdy it has multiple USB ports it has a real nice ride high above the road. It has multiple safety features with collision feature lane change feature blind spot lights reverse monitor for backing up. It also has a very sturdy hitch for towing.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Brittani N.

The cons of this vehicle are the speakers could be better, it does not come with automatic adjustment for the passenger seat or 2nd row, there are no heated seats, other than it is a great vehicle that I have truly enjoyed driving.

dislikeFilled Lady P.

Has had a lot of recalls and transmission issues. When 3rd row up not a lot of storage in back. Other than that I have no other issues real issues with the car. Love the way it rides and the space it provides.

dislikeFilled Akebia G.

It is extremely large, a Hugh cargo floor, SUV Fuel economy. The combined fuel rating of the Tahoe is only 18 mpg. That is just 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. The cargo floor in the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe is strangely high. You should be fine just loading it up with groceries or perhaps the team's sports equipment. If you have something really heavy to transport, however, it is going to be more difficult than it should have been.

dislikeFilled Mary C.

The only con on my vehicle is that I wish the headlights were brighter. I love my Tahoe. It is comfortable, safe and roomy. I live in the snow belt of the country and it is amazing in deep snow and weather.

dislikeFilled Julie B.

Parking the Tahoe can be a challenge sometimes. The drivers view can sometimes be impeded when turning because of the positioning of the bars on the side of the windshield. It can be difficult to step in to the front seats.

dislikeFilled Mike L.

None at all, it is perfect in my personal opinion. If I had the opportunity to replace it with a different variety of vehicle it would not be possible to find anything that could be better than what is provided by this particular vehicle.

dislikeFilled David T.

The main con of this vehicle is that it does not get very good gas mileage. I would also say the price is probably a little too much as well. I would say any kind of repair is also more expensive than most automobiles. All maintenance on it are more expensive than a regular auto.
