The 2014 Chevy Malibu has a nice interior for its price, advanced technology in the higher-end models, and excellent safety scores.

Rear passenger space is smaller than other midsize sedans. It’s boring and unengaging to drive, and it has higher ownership costs than other cars in its class.

I am not real sure but I would say that you can see certain stuff of the vehicle.
My car is awesome helps me get everywhere so clean & nice. Does not need to much money on gas so that is really helpful.

Great car no problems always reliable.
I made the best choice possible when I purchased my vehicle. I have had no problems at all out of it and I keep the maintenance up on it at my local Chevrolet dealership and its actually cheaper to get the oil changed at the dealership than any other place outside the dealership. I think when I get ready to purchase my next vehicle it will be a Chevrolet.

My dream car could be your dream car too the Chevy Malibu.
It's very reliable. I bought this car for me and my son and its great. At a touch of a button you can see many features about the car on a screen. And the gas mileage is excellent for our travels too. If you are looking for a car that looks sharp and is great for family this is definitely one to chose.

Great gas mileage and quick acceleration.
It is extremely reliable and is great on gas. It has a huge trunk which is great for hauling luggage on trips. It has good torque/horsepower and accelerates quickly.

Handles better than any vehicle I have driven.
Very comfortable, drives beautifully and handles great. Especially on the highway. Gas mileage is excellent. Very reliable vehicle. Just your normal wear. I have over 100,000 miles and only had to get small things fixed. Handles better than any vehicle I have driven.

Pearl white w/ leather and sunroof.
It is reliable and fast with a beautiful structure. It has a leather interior with a little bit of cloth, fully loaded, and wood grain dash. Some of the plastic parts on the interior are cheap, but replaceable. The duration of the vehicle is excellent. Hardly any major issues with the vehicle overall.

Part availability....DO not purchase one!
GM has continuously fumbled the ball on getting the VVT oil control solenoids for this vehicle. I have tried to place orders with them and other sellers. Out of stock. No one gets back to me for an update on the part. I WILL NEVER BUY another GM product.

This car Chevy Malibu it's not for me.
It I guess is a fine car but one time I was driving my friend home and my car light came on and before you know it power steering was lost and it was really dangerous. Car eventually died and had to get it towed and then fixed. Just recently my radio went out and the turn signal doesn't make any noise.

Terrible transmission 2014 Malibu.
I bought the Malibu used and a few months after having it I started having transmission problems took it in the shop said nothing was wrong with it. The car keeps acting like it is skipping gears o have spoke with other Malibu owners who say they are/have also had this issue. Not worth the money.

Malibu a car that never runs right.
The car has a lot of maintenance issues as well as electrical issues that no one can seem to figure out. The radio as well as the headlights short out constantly. The battery is new no ignition problems, multiple car shops have looked at it with no answers.
accountCircle Patricia W
It has a large truck and extra leg room in the front.
Have had an ongoing low oil issue. There was a recall but my vin was not included. Had to replace wheel bearings at 30,000, 50,000 and 120,000. They are no longer cover under the warranty as of 2011. Had to replace both intake and exhaust camshaft actuator and rocker arm which are connected to the oil issue. . The auto stop feature is very loud when starting up.

Eco friendly. Goes off and back on with pressing and releasing brake.
I like it ok overall. Has been having a weak battery lately. It is getting high in miles as well. It is had 3 kids including their friends, sports teams etc in it and is just raggedy. Has cloth seats which I hate. They are in rough shape. Enjoy the trunk space and adequate legroom.

What Problems Does the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu Have?

Brake problems, including an ABS light, are another issue with the Malibu. It’s frequently caused by the same wheel-bearing and hub issues. The sensors are known to fail at the same time as the hub.

There are 6 recalls affecting the 2014 Malibu, average for a car its age. Recalls include the windshield defrosters, transmission adjuster cables, brake rotors, brake vacuum system, roof panels, and the key can be removed while it’s not in park. Yes, no problems. Still on the original battery. Four cylinder engine sounds like it works hard, but seems adequate for most types of driving.

Saved my life. Literally
Unfortunately I didn’t get to have my Malibu for very long ( less than a year) before I was involved in a near fatal car crash. This baby didn’t even bust a window, or had a flat tire when I crashed into another car at almost 80 mph. I loved my car. The 4 cyl was great on gas and the car would get up & move if needed to. I’m on the hunt at this moment for another Malibu

Great car. Expensive oil!
Great in the winter! Oil changes are very expensive due to the type of oil the car needs. Car is durable, does not scratch easily. Brakes and calipers need to be updated frequently. Car is great in winter as long as you have the right tires. Truck is large and roomy.

Chevy Malibu is very good on gas as well as having a quite as smooth ride.
The Chevy Malibu is really good on gas. The car is very comfortable as well as very affordable. You want a car that is quiet and smooth riding and that is exactly what this car is. I always recommend this car for people who have teenagers? My mom got me this car in 2014 for me when I was a teenager and I still ride it and it is perfect.

Super happy with my Malibu.
My Chevy Malibu is a nice sedan. The ltz is worth the buy. Its roomy and has comfortable seats. Heated seats are a must in the cold winters. Plus, has changing light displays that I love. Sunroof is a good size. Trunk size is actually roomy. My wheels and tires add a nice look. Overall very happy this reliable car.

It drives smooth has a place for phones. The middle seat go down and has 2 cup holders and a little compartment.

Chevy Malibu turbo beats BMW off of the light every time.
I really love my car. My vehicle has a leather interior and seats that make the vehicle feel like it is a luxury car without the same luxury price. My car is the 3lt model with a 4 cylinder engine with turbo, the speed and handling in on par with BMW and Audi. The audio system makes it sound that you at a concert while driving.

Perfect sedan: reliable, comfortable, drives well.
The car drives well and is a decent sized sedan. The car is comfortable for me, however my 6 foot husband feels a bit cramped. The car had no issues until about 120,000 miles, where there was an issue with the calibers. However, from what I was told that was user error and it should have been brought in months prior. Other than that one issue, there has been absolutely no problems with it. If it wasn't for the fact we have a growing family I'd keep it forever. The interior is simple, however both the interior and exterior is very clean looking. As far as reliability goes, I'd give this car a 10/10. Comfort 9/10, depending on height, performance 10/10, and features 8/10 (lots of cup holders is a plus as well as great trunk space).

The vehicle is black with white seats.
No problems. The vehicle performance is outstanding and reliable. The seat are very comfortable and the features are still up to date in 2020. The car gets me to where I need to go with a great gas mileage. I never have to worry if it will break down or run out of gas too fast.

My 2014 Chevrolet Malibu econ.
I would prefer that the carpeting were not tan/gray in color. Not a big fan of the econ features. I am an old school driver. It has plenty of room inside the vehicle. In order to use Bluetooth, you have to have & pay for an OnStar subscription. It would be much better if Bluetooth were included without charges.

The auto stop feature is nice for saving gas while stopped at a light.
My car does not have a backup camera and it is hard to see out the back window when backing because the back end slants up. The headrest is tall also and gets in the way when turning head to back up. The auto stop feature is nice but does not always work. Gas mileage is fair but should get higher considering it is a 4 cyl. It is a safe car with airbags everywhere imaginable.

Smooth running, nice sunroof, over all great fit not small not big.
I cannot say at this time I have any complaints or problems. If I did the only thing that comes to mind is the material of seats gets really hot in summer and until car is running with air on my skin sticks to seat if I have shorts on. It is also black so it seems like it gets hot and has burned grabbing door knob.

It's been a really reliable car.
I have owned this car for 4 years and have had to replace 3 wheel bearings. I have had to have the pcm reprogrammed due to the transmission slamming in and out of gear driving down the interstate. The radio goes black and does not work. It turns on and off whenever it feels like it.

Reliable Chevys: long lasting cars.
I love my vehicle its sporty but cute and it has nice black interior. It's also good for kids and comes with child love and tinted windows to keep the sun out. My care also comes with a big trunk and the seats are moveable to create more room. There are a lot of things that come with getting a Chevy Malibu. The speed it good, but it can get up and go when you need it to! Chevys are also good cars because they last long and stay in good shape for a long period of time. They are easy to keep clean inside and out, gas is good as well they are small cars so you could fill up your car and last all week. I love Chevy Malibus they are very reliable cars for everyone and I have two kids so it's great. Also allows you to do technical things as far as Bluetooth and touch screen while the radio and other cool little gadgets.

“wonderful” features of the Malibu.
I love my car all except the “great” auto off feature. This is so annoying when you make a quick stop at a drive through window and your car shuts off. I really do not understand how this is suppose to help save gas when it takes more fuel to start a car than to leave a car running. I also do not see how this could ever possibly be good for the starter on the car to have to constantly work every time you make even a quick stop. I see this as a feature that car manufacturers put in place to keep people either buying a new car before or after they put a lot of money into maintaining their current car. I like to call the auto off feature job security. They also lie that your car will choose comfort over fuel economy unless my car is the reject of production. When the car stops the air conditioner also stops, even if I have it on full blast. I recommend they get rid of this “wonderful” feature. Other than that I have no issues with my car whatsoever.

Love my Chevy Malibu everyone should buy one.
The malibu is extremely reliable - the malibu is very comfortable - I love the leather interior and the heated seats - the malibu handles very nicely and is easy to drive - my malibu is black and has grey leather interior - the malibu has a rear backup camera that shows up in my dashboard which makes it very easy yo back up and to see if your pathway is completely clear before you begin to move backwards - my sideview mirrors are completely adjustable and easy to set up and change adjustments . I like the color and the paint on the Chevy malibu has held up well - I wash it every week to keep the salt and dirt from staining the paint - . The tires have also held up well and seem to have a lot of life left in them.

My vehicle runs amazing it is a gas saver as well at times it turns off when at stop but they say that is just done to save gas. And I believe it because now gas lasts longer and also the way it runs is smooth and awesome. Anyone should have a Malibu for travel purposes.

2014 Chevy Malibu review!
Our child locks do not work well in terms of getting them to unlock now that the kids are older. We had troubles with the front headlight getting fogged up. To fix both issues will cost hundreds. We just replaced the tires that were the original ones at 105,623 miles!

Satisfied customers who has a car that I can trust.
I love my car I went from Atlanta to New York and only filled up the gas tank three times. The space is very good. Seats me and four of my friends very well. I really like how the dashboard menu tells me everything that's wrong and will be needing maintenance soon.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a good running and roomy car.
I have had my Malibu almost 6 month and I haven't have any problems with it. The car drives smoothly and comfortably and the speed picks up fairly quick. To me they are good on gas mileage. I will continue to drive it until I can no longer. Good car!

My sun visor comes all way out on the sides & I love my turning signal lights.
I do not have any problems with my car at this moment. The performance is very accessible & definitely is addictive. I wouldn't mind buying another Chevy. The luxurious features are amazing & stylish. No one would be disappointed. The seats are comfortable in the winter but in the summer it will burn because of the sun of course.

Malibu, an idea to averages.
Overall, the Malibu is a fairly dependable car. It has average gas mileage and low maintenance fees. I have never had huge problems with this vehicle. The trim level I selected works for me and my family. I just recently replaced the tires but that was it.
