Excellent, reliable car, especially for first time drivers.
I bought this car used back in 2015. It was my first ever vehicle that I owned. When I bought it, it had about 60k miles on it. It now has almost 130k and still runs perfectly. I've taken this thing across the country three times. It's dented up in several places and the interior could be in better shape, but that's my own fault, not the car's. I've had minor mechanical problems with it from general wear and tear (tires replaced twice, battery replaced twice, tie rod replaced, headlights replaced multiple times, gas cap replaced, a wheel bearing replaced, brakes replaced twice, a valve for the fuel system replaced, actuator replaced... I think that's everything). I've never had a problem with the engine or transmission. The mechanic I took it to last was shocked at how good of a condition the car's engine and transmission was in for its age and mileage. It's very spacious, I have the LTZ model with Bose sound system which sounds excellent; the bass is incredible. Nice leather seats and heated driver and passenger seats. I like the way the entertainment system and driver's side is laid out. It's very comfortable and easy to use when you're driving. The engine is quite powerful, a V6. You can tow small loads just fine with it. As far as cons go, the turning radius is pretty bad. It's like driving a boat, but you get used to it. It's had it's minor issues which have been a headache, but I think it's more just wear and tear rather than genuine issues with the car's quality. For me, it takes a little bit to get it up to speed, and it can be jerky when shifting gears sometimes. Right now, the check engine light is on, and I'm not quite sure why considering the last issue I had with it that caused the light to go on was fixed. I think it's just because the gas cap I replaced it with is not a genuine GM replacement part, it's an after market part, as the car is running just fine. Another thing, I think for the model year there could have been more features, like better Bluetooth connectability, but it does still have hands free calling and an AUX port. Again, definitely recommend this car if you can find one in good condition! Great teaching car and first time car.

The car has been problem-free. Have maintained the suggested car maintenance.
The car performs beautifully. The color is difficult to maintain it looking clean. The seats are comfortable. Change oil as indicated. Had a van rear-ended the car and maintained very little damage to the back fender. The engine is very quiet. Have not had any major engine problems.

My old 2012 impala. The love of a full size car.
Its full size card and very comfortable to ride in. Has plenty of leg and head room. Also have a large trunk space. It is such a nice card, I will buy another one if it is still being made. I drive it daily and only have to fill it with gas around every two weeks.

It's a nice car to get you to where you need to be.
It's a good car just not made for a small family. I have two small kids and I do not have enough trunk space for a stroller and other things. The speed is nice but the car get a lot of wear and tare. Mileage is also a plus if you take care of the car. The car is not really made for short people I am only 5'2 and it took some time to adjust to it.

My excellent ride. I love my cat. It's the first new car I have had.
Our car is great. We never had any major problems with it. We maintain our car by servicing every couple of months. It's great for travel. It's a very smooth ride. The gas mileage is great. The inside is very soft and comfortable. The radio is great and you can change stations on wheel. The ac is great however the ac motor on the glove compartment would break and would make an annoying click sound. The could be heard when the car was off and cause the battery to drain. We had this fixed several time.

Great and useful car just expensive to upkeep.
The vehicle drives very nicely and it is reliable. It has worked for us for the 10 years we have had it. It is an expensive car to maintain though we are frequently putting money to fix the breaks or the transmission. Additionally, the battery tends to die relatively quickly now too. Those are things that I do not enjoy about the vehicle that much.

2012 Chevy impala features that are great.
It runs and drive great. Have had no problems other than needing new tires. It has air, cruise, stereo, very comfortable seats and plenty of legroom. It runs on gasoline and has a very quiet motor. The power steering makes it so easy to control and easy to park.

It speeds up pretty quickly.
The ltz has heated seats, love that. And a sunroof and steering wheel controls. It has decent gas mileage. So far there has not been any mechanical problems. Just your typical oil and tires changes. I currently have about 185000 miles on it and it is still kickin.

Pros and cons of the Chevy impala.
My car has been extremely reliable, and only had a few issues, one of which was the spark plugs, and the wing on my trunk broke off. My car drives very smooth, and is a good size. I feel as though my car is comfortable it has cloth seats, I do wish they had bolsters or more back support, and I also wish they had more adjustable settings. One thing that is not really terrible but is sometimes uncomfortable is how large the steering wheel, which would probably be worse if you were taller than 5 9'. Living in Michigan there is quite a bit of snow, and with good snow tires the front wheel drive impala does pretty well. I really want a car with dual climate control as I am always cold and people hate it when I have the heat on full blast. One major benefit is the average mpg. Overall I give the Chevy impala a 87 out of 100.

My impala is powerful and reliable vehicles, is a v6 and run smoothly. This car is spacious for tall and big people. As long you keep up with maintenance this car is so far the best vehicle from GMC.The body of this car is great and comfortable. On start service, anti locked brakes and multiple air bags.

It needs fixing up but it is a strong car.
I have a 2012 Chevy impala and I like it a lot because it has a nice pickup speed as well as the smoothness. The problems that I have with my impala is that it need a wheel adjustment as well as I need new tires. On the dashboard it tells you how much air are in your tires as well as the oil life and what percentage of oil there is left. For me, I need to change mine soon.

White four door midsize car with sunroof.
I love my car. It has a lot of pep & rev. It can go top speeds and still be a smooth ride. The trunk space is of enormous! My only dislike is the backseat is not very roomy. But even worse for my backseat passengers is that there r no vents in the backseat.

Overall, I think it is a good car, and gets me where I need go.
My car has bad gas mileage. It seems like the oil needs to be changed very often, compared to other cars. It does however start up easier in cold weather, but is not good to drive in the snow. The heated seats can be nice in the winter, but do not always work. I bought it for a good price, so I cannot really complain.

My vehicle consumes a lot of gasoline. The sites are not comfortable at all. The radio and the speakers could be louder. The audio from the radio is somewhat okay but it is not the best. My car does not drive well during bad weather and the tires are not great.

Great Chevy impala with leather and moonroof.
My car has heated leather seats, cruise control, moonroof, Bluetooth connectivity. It has am/FM radio with CD player, anti lock brakes, night mode for rearview mirror. The engine is a v6 and runs great. The brakes and tires are new. The mileage is 101000. The color is black with black interior.

Amazing car feels like a luxury car for the price of a affordable one.
Good gas mileage. Not a luxury car but feels like it because it's so spacious. Its affordable to everyone not like the luxury cars where people cannot afford it and feel excluded because it's so expensive. It has a handsfree Bluetooth feature that helps you stay connected when driving and need to make a call. It has power windows and automatic door locks. The only problem encountered so far is having to change out the actuator often because it malfunctions quite a bit.

Comfiest car I have ever owned.
I love the size of my car; the back seat is quite roomy and comfortable for a car, and the trunk is huge. It is great for traveling. It rides very well, the seats are comfy and it rides smoothly. One thing I do not like about it is the length of the front. It makes it hard to drive sometimes when the nose is so long.

It really works surprisingly well as a family car even though it is presented more as a sporty choice.
I have been mostly very satisfied with the performance and features. It has needed minimal maintenance over the last few years. I would definitely consider Chevy again in the future.

Excellent comfort and great driving style.
I can honestly say there are no problems with my car! It has been the perfect starter car for over eight years. Affordable, comfortable and reliable.
This car has a very smooth pick up which is ideal for city driving. I get great gas mileage, especially on my long trips back home. I haven't ran into any issues that weren't an easy fix up to date. It is very open and comfortable on the inside and the large trunk is convenient for my large grocery trips and extended vacations with my kids.

Sporty looking with sunroof.
Very reliable smooth ride radio dials on steering wheel there's no ashtray cup holder for two drinks and a nice sunroof. Cruise control intermittent windshield wipers it has OnStar but not active. Sirius radio available. Carpet and interior can be easily cleaned. Can seat five but four comfortably. Would definitely consider a newer year. Also has a spoiler on it to give a sporty look.

This car is very comfortable and well designed. I have had very few maintenance problems with the car. The inside is roomy and has plenty of space. The only issue I have had is with the brake system which I believe was due to lots of miles being put on the car by myself.

This vehicle comes with an auto start feature that makes it quite convenient.
Seats are comfortable. There is plenty of trunk space for lots of groceries. The suspensions is quite smooth so anybody with children in car seats won't have to worry too much about waking sleeping little ones. All in all, it is a good starter vehicle or family vehicle that is quite dependable.

Feels like a luxury car on a budget.
I love that my car is so spacious. It has that luxury feel but on a budget. It is so well made it doesn't feel cheap. I did noticed though that the actuator in the glove box breaks so often it has to be replaced about every 3 months but it's a easy cheap fix. It cost about $10 on eBay and youtube how to change it out and your ready to go.

The car has am, FM, and XM radio options.
It is well built and has been maintaining through the wear and tear of a long commute. The seats are comfortable and the ride is smooth. The headlights are easy to replace yourself when they burn out. I have had the car now for almost 7 years and it is still handling well with very minimal repairs needed.

Very nice and very spacious
Performance is great. I have not had an issue with the engine. Comfort level is like a 8 since the seats are leather and get hot and sticky in the summer. Other than the leather seats, I do not have m issue. Large and spacious car. Love the trunk due to the amount of space there is. Features I love the seat warmers and the sun roof.

Dependability and fuel economy are fantastic.
Only minor problems with continually burning out low beam bulbs. Very good performance and reliability. Handling is fantastic, the styling, ride and comfort is all very good. Electronically it has been a very good car, it has met or exceeded every expectation I had for it.

It has been very reliable and very low maintenance cost.

Do not get this car. It is a piece of garbage not worth the money they're asking.
The vehicle seems to not have much power. I live in an area where it snows a lot and even if there is not much snow on the ground the vehicle gets stuck extremely easy. It is horrible. It seems to be gutless. It sits way too low to the ground which poses a huge problem when it does snow.

My is great. Since I have had it, I have done nothing more than a tune up and oil change. It rides great for long trips. Very roomy on the inside and comfortable. Most importantly it is a gas savior. It has great control, handles very well. Honestly I cannot think of one bad thing.

My vehicle is great at everything. I do not have many problems with this car.
The car drives so smooth. There are no issues while I am on the road. It gets great gas mileage. A full tank of gas can get be about 500 miles at a time before empty. I do a lot of long hauls when I am driving and the impala does great on all types of roads. It has an aux cord capability in my radio, and the overall system is very simple to figure out.

My lovely car is always on time and gets me from point A to point B.
My Impala is very reliable I got if from the used car dealership and instantly fell in love the car sometimes has a problem with the transmission and jerk sometimes when I take off. Also when it rains my car will act up but all and all many things are bearable because my car has helped me in many ways.

Smooth rider Chevy impala.
It really is a great car. Had two recalls that have been fixed. The drive is so smooth. Very spacious, very big trunk. One problem with it is that one sign where the car is sliding stays on. Mine had a sunroof which was great. The speakers are badass Bose. Can't ask for anything better.

2012 Chevy impala overall review.
I have owned my car for almost 4 years and have only one breakdown with it. A fuel injector went out. Other than that it is just been regular maintenance. Oil changes and tires. I did have 2 headlights go out soon after I bought it. It handles well on winter roads.

Chevy impala reliable vehicle.
Runs fantastic with proper care. Had a problem with the trunk sticking but fixed. Handles extremely well. Great family vehicle with plenty of room in the back seat for the kids. A bit of a problem with the dash reading with the fuel but that seems to have somehow corrected itself. I am guessing some kind of computer glitch.

I like how smooth it drives. The only thing I have found that I dislike is that it rusts fairly easily.
It does rust easily so make sure to keep up on car washes and wipe down the inside of the doors.

If your a mom with a need for speed its perfect.
I like that it has plenty of room but it is a very large car and uses more gas than some SUVs. It was a used car so we have to replace the battery and have gone through a few times in the last 6 months but I consider that normal wear and tear. For some reason we have to change the same right headlight every couple months so there is obviously some kind of electrical issue I hope does not get worse. I enjoy the speed it definitely handles well at high speeds and has some get up and go but that comes from being a 6 cylinder.

Chevrolet impala ls: my vehicle has a 6th seat in the front hitch on the back.
My vehicle runs amazing I really haven't had problems with it. I have had it for 3 yrs now it has not been undrivable one time its a v6 it's decent on gas it's just a smooth ride I recommend Chevrolet but not just the impala I have driven many Chevrolet's and they all have proven themselves proficient..

Large trunk, comfortable seats with large leg room, strong engine.
I love the car its very reliable it has 98,000 miles on it and still I haven't had any major problems. The inside molding is cheap quality though its old style plastic with cloth seats. The engine is very strong I love the 6 cylinder. The handling is not the greatest though its very stiff and heavy. The car has excellent storage space though and the back seat folds down and I love being able to just fit just about anything in the trunk. It gets good gas mileage, I get about 19 mpg. All together it's a good reliable car and even though it's not perfect it's a good car.

My Chevy is a great representation of the Chevy products.
I bought the car as a used vehicle with an impeccable service record. The car was in top-tip shape and has continued to perform excellently for two years. It feels solid, handles well and is good on gas mileage. I have velour seats and the fabric is in excellent shape for being 6 years old.

2012 impala: reliable and comfortable.
Comfortable everyday driver, reliable in the winter, great trunk space. No Bluetooth, but CD player and audio jack. Comfortable for up to four passengers. Gets about 27/mpg on Hwy, 20/mpg in city. Also includes remote start. Great vehicle overall for everyday use.

Reliability, Comfort & convenience.
This the third Chevrolet Impala in a row I have owned. I have been well pleased with all of them. They have been reliable, comfortable and look good too. I recently read that the Impala is being discontinued and personally think that is a shame. One of the models I owned included access from the passenger compartment directly to the trunk. This is a great idea. In the future I'll stick with Chevy.

Impala broken a/c gears...
Performance has been fine, minus issues that were caused by us or by other people, except for the plastic gears they used in the air conditioner which we've replaced a few times, but continue to break and make an annoying clicking noise when you start or turn off the car or change the ac settings.

Love dependability and style, Chevy's are fine cars, I know I can put miles on it and as long as I keep the maintenance up on it, it will last a long time. Maintaining it can just become costly but less so than if a major problem happens.

This is a car I would recommend.
I really like how much space the car has. The trunk is pretty spacious as well. The engine is very strong and reliable. The control ability of the car is also very good. The stock audio system in the car is pretty great as well. The traction control system is kind of junk though. It engages even when I am not losing traction.

A great and reliable sedan.
I got this car used in 2016 and haven't had any issues with it since. It is easy to drive and I feel comfortable behind the wheel. I am very tall, so it is difficult to find cars (and not SUVs) that I fit in, but happily I fit comfortably in my impala with a bit of head and leg room to spare. It is a sedan, so gas mileage is good but not great. I was told by my mechanic to purchase premium grade gasoline to help performance and it has noticeably helped the mpg.

I love my Chevy impala! It has heated seat, all leather. It has a very big trunk. It came with weathertech floor mats in front & back. It tells u when u need an oil change, the tire pressure in each tire, it has Bluetooth & satellite radio & a CD player that you can control the volume & change the song from the steering wheel. It is a very comfortable riding car. Very good gas mileage on highway & in town. The only thing I wished mine had is a sun roof. It is a very nice car & would tell anybody that they should buy an impala!

The best car for a college student.
So far, I have had no issues with this car. It is very comfortable. I wish it had cup holders in the back of the car or behind the center console at least. I love how much trunk space it has. The interior is easy to clean and very simple, yet classy.

Reliable and family friendly.
This car is perfect for my family. We fit comfortably and it is comfortable for long distance trips. It has electric seat adjusters and controls on the steering wheel for phone calls, music and cruise control. The only problem we had with the vehicle was one of the ac vents getting stuck repeatedly. We had to take it back to the dealership multiple times to get it fixed/replaced. However it was always covered and now runs wonderfully.

The impala is a solid car, I have not had a major mechanical problem yet. Some of the plastic parts of the vehicle have began to deteriorate as well as some of the paint on the rear of the vehicle. It lacks many features that would come in a retail model but it has served me well for 5 years.

Reliability in rain sleet or snow.
Battery dies fast and does not handle well in snow. The speakers work well and have good bass. Heated seat are nice when it gets cold out. The car takes awhile to heat up in the winter. The car does well travelling long distances and can hold up well to driving off road. Overall I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a reliable vehicle.

Easy to drive just has some minor design flaws for the power to the computer.
The car drives nice. But there has been issues with the fuel filter, fuel sensor, and fuel pump before the car was four years on the road. The power line that connects the fuse box from the battery for the computer is smaller than the rest of the lines. It corrodes quickly and causes issues with the sensors and control of the car. The last time the doors unlocked while the vehicle was in motion and the car shut off while the vehicle was at a stop light. Once the cable was trimmed all the problems with the computer corrected. It is a design flaw.

Chevy Impala Issues the ticking has to stop but no one can figure it out
The car drives very well overall. Had no issues at the beginning. But seems as soon as vehicle reaches 100,000 miles issues started happening. The air only works on the passenger side, nothing will correct this. The car makes a ticking noise, that sounds like it will blow up. Does it when I first get in and when I adjust the hot or cold. Also the traction control light stays on. As well as the ABS light.

It's very reliable and cost efficient.
I love my vehicle, it is nice and roomy. It's got plenty of trunk space for my families needs. It runs very well on gas and requires very little maintenance so far. I have had it for 3 years.

Great, reliable and nice looking!
It is a very reliable and classic car. It gets good gas mileage is roomy, yet easy to drive and park! It is got good pick up and handles very well in any kind of weather. I have had very little work done to the car aside from normal maintenance. I have had several impalas and currently have one and my daughter also has one. Highly recommend this car to anyone.

How reliable are Chevy impala.
My vehicle is very reliable I have owned two different impalas and I love them the speed is great and for my vehicle to be so old I have had to do minor repairs tires oil change new radiator and fuel system. I believe impalas have their own small issues but they are a very reliable vehicles.

The car I had no problems from.
I really have not had any problems other than a water pump, so it has Been real reliable in these 5 yrs I've had it. The performance of it holds up good, I'm getting about 20 gallons a mile on it. It is very spacious and comfortable on the inside of the car.

Chevrolet impala, worth your money?
My vehicle is a very reliable car, and takes me wherever I need to go without any problems. However, it is horrible on gas, and that is one of the main issues I have with it. I also have an issue with it having the check engine light turn off often, but that is most likely only an issue because the car is getting older.

Heated leather seats and push to start would have to be my favorite.
It is luxurious, sporty and classy. It is a very quick accelerating car but runs very smooth. I have had no issues with the car at all. Very reliable family car. It has leather seats and the two front seats are heated, perfect for those cold winter mornings. Speaking of chilly mornings, it also can be started from inside your home so no more having to go scrap ice or snow off your windshield in the cold. The car will be nice and warm once you are ready to head out the door.

2012 Chevrolet impala ls sedan.
I really enjoy my 2012 Chevy impala a lot. It is one of the best cars I have ever driven or owned and it is only the second car I myself have owned but I have driven a lot of different cars and it is one of the top 5 best cars I think. I bought it used but I haven't even had no problems with it at all except I had to replace the thermostat which wasn't expensive at all.

A smooth ride — but watch out for abs.
My car drives so smoothly! The v6 engine feels like driving on a cloud. The height of the car is ideal — low enough to see all your surroundings and comfortable to get in and out of. The interior is soft and comfortable as well. It has been extremely reliable in terms of safety and performance for the four years I have had it so far; no major issues apart from regular maintenance. The only issue I have had is with the abs braking system: the indicators seem overly sensitive and are constantly going off, which sometimes affects the brakes while driving.

What I like about my impala.
The Chevy impala provides a great car at a decent price range, with comfortable amount of room and great gas mileage. It is very reliable and an overall cheap car to maintain. The car does not have Bluetooth, but does come equipped with the ability to play music through an aux. The stock speakers in the vehicle are loud enough to provide a good acoustic sound.

Need for speed and comfort in a sedan.
The 2012 Chevy Impala is very spacious inside. Lots of trunk space. Sound quality for the radio is superb. Had an issue with the automatic transmission, but that has been corrected. Has a really good get up and go on take off. Really love this car.

Chevrolet Impala: affordable, comfort, power and safety all in one package.
Great car. Reliable. Good gas mileage. Very comfortable interior. I appreciate the safety features of side airbags as well. As noted, we have not had any issues with the car since purchasing 4 years ago. I like the option of OnStar. It also looks sporty so it is not a boring car and the engine provides plenty of power. I have no regrets in buying the car and I have often provided positive feedback to prospective buyers.

It rides very smooth and is very easy to handle. It also has good gas mileage.
I love the general set up of the car- the seats are spacious and the driver's seat is movable which is VERY nice. The interior is nice, especially the radio. There is a decent amount of storage and the handling of the car is easy and very smooth. My only complaint would the the upholstering- I wish it was leather or a different kind of material rather than... It's like soft? Not sure how to explain it...

Chevy Impala, durable and reliable car to start and finish with.
Great gas mileage around 25-30 mpg. Durable through rain and snow. Great trunk space. Good leg room. Is a car that can be kind of high end when nice and cleaned up. Seats are comfortable. Sound system can always be better but works great. AUX cord input and CD.

2012 Impala-past the 5yr mark
I enjoy my impala. It is very roomy and reliable. It is great on gas and provides a smooth ride on the expressway. My car has just surpassed the 100k miles mark. There have been a few minor repairs such as engine sensors, rotors and brakes. But associated costs for those repairs were responsible. I am beginning to experience more issues with the electrical controls of my vehicle (power windows, radio controls, etc). However I simply attributed it to the age of the vehicle.

Reliable Chevy impala nice car if you need something dependable.
Drives nice, love the low seats, has been very reliable. Pretty good on gasoline. Nice trunk space and pretty good technology for a older car. The body however is ugly and to boxy looking and the stereo and speakers are not that good. Probably would be more peeling to older people than to young.

A good car for an older adult with no children and few longer trips.
This car is user friendly. Because of its age and make it does not have a lot of extra gadgets. It is easy in and out which is important for an older person with arthritis. I have had no mechanical problems with this car. It lacks a CD player which would have been nice, but since I do not travel far anymore it is not a big issue.

Love the color, size, shape and performance.
Good on my back with the cushions. Impressive steering wheel. A life saver in the winter months and such.
