There are some new Mercedes models that are available with an optional lighted star at the front of the vehicle. This lighting system is a series of LED strips that outline the star and ring and can make Your emblem glow while driving at night. This light will turn on automatically with all of Your other headlights and there is not a special way to turn it off at all. It is an optional accessory added to cars so if Yours does not have it then it will not turn on. Many newer Mercedes vehicles also have a puddle light that will turn on automatically as You get near the car and that will have the Mercedes crest on it as well.

On a Mercedes in the center/COMAND screen - go to Vehicle Settings - and turn on "Locator Lighting" which will turn on the logo projector lamps.

The ambience light switch must be turned on. It is the interior lighting above the driver seat where you go to turn on your interior lighting. That switch turns on your interior dome lights when you open the door. That switch also activates your mirror projection logo light.
