A failed oxygen sensor is the most common cause for a check engine light to come on in the 2015 Kia Soul. If left untreated, damage can be caused to the catalytic converter and spark plugs. The average cost to have this part replaced in this vehicle is $240 to $280, including labor. A loose or broken gas cap is the next most common cause. In most cases, tightening the cap or replacing it with a new one fixes the problem. A failed catalytic converter is another reported problem. If the light is accompanied with discolored smoke from the exhaust or unusual sounds, this is likely the cause. Replacing a catalytic converter in a 2015 Soul runs $460 to $480. Issues with the spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coils, mass airflow sensor, vacuum, and aftermarket alarm can all trigger the light, as well.

If your "check engine light" makes an appearance in your 2015 kia soul it may indicate a loose gas cap or a more serious issue like a failed o2 sensor, a larger emissions leak or problems with your vehicle's catalytic converter.

If your kia has a check engine light, then throw that b***h in the dump. It's a piece of s**t anyway
