The most common reason for a backup camera to stop working in a GMC Acadia is a blown fuse. Simply replacing the old fuse with a new one will fix this. You can look in Your owner's manual or the inside cover of the fuse panels for a diagram, so You know which one to replace. If the screen is black and white, the connection is poor. A cable might have come loose or a wire that is positioned near the ground may have been frayed. If the screen is completely black, the cable is likely plugged into the aux port instead of the video feed. This can happen sometimes during maintenance work. No signal at all suggests the system needs resetting. When the problem is a blurry or distorted picture, the lens likely needs to be cleaned with a microfiber cloth. Sometimes, the camera stops working because it just needs to be replaced.
