There are several causes for the backup camera to stop working in a 2013 Ford Edge. The first thing to check would be the fuses, a blown fuse would break the electrical connection between the battery and the camera. An electrical short could have fried the circuitry inside the camera or display, this could happen when a wire gets damaged and touches another. Another possibility could be that an electrical connector has become disconnected or has a damaged or corroded pin. If the display is bad, the camera will not work, this can happen when the head units fails, or the LCD panel goes bad. There is also a chance that a software glitch wont allow the camera to come on when the vehicle is put in to reverse.

If the backup camera on the 2013 ford edge is not working then you should clean the camera, check the wires, and check the lens to make sure it is not damaged.
