Regardless of Your model year, the Nissan Quest is not a picky beast when it comes to power steering fluid. Nissan officially recommends You use their OEM proprietary blend of power steering fluid, but just about any reputable brand will do. If You're not near a Nissan dealer or don't have access to one of their approved retailers, You should be able to use something from, for example, Prestone with high success. Alternatively, automatic transmission fluid works well in the power steering system as well. You'll want to select a quality MERCON / DEXRON-III or higher ATF also from a reputable brand; many users report that Valvoline is a great brand when it comes to using ATF in the PS system.

The power steering fluid used on the 2004 Nissan Quest is Lubegard Synthetic Power Steering Fluid.
