If You've gotten a notification that You have an emissions system problem on Your 2017 Honda Civic, You're going to need to read the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to see what's being thrown. A typical one for this message is going to be a P0420, which indicates an issue with the fuel injector, but there are other emission problems that can trigger this as well... Some of which cost nothing to fix: If You fill up and don't tighten Your gas cap as much as You need to (where You hear two clicks) You can also see this message. Pretty unnerving, but easily sorted in that case.

The 2017 honda civic emission system problems can be caused for a myriad of reasons such as blocked fuel injector, failed ho2s (heated oxygen sensor), or faulty maf sensor.
