The 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 can experience switch related malfunction that causes the key to get stuck in the ignition without firing the vehicle. The problem recurs in the Ram 1500, and includes fobs falling out of place and trucks stalling while driving. Under these circumstances, the wireless ignition switch needs replaced. If the fob is "jiggled" to start the vehicle or the engine shuts off while operating, the fault may lie with the WIN module as well. WIN module failure is often accompanied by unstable key use, a lack of instrument gauge function and power outages while running the engine. Cost to replace the switch averages $215-$260 in parts and labor. Cost to replace the module averages $350-$500.

If the 2007 dodge ram 1500 has a bad ignition switch then it will not start, or will struggle to start. This can be caused by a broken switch, or bad wires going to the switch.
