The 2008 Honda Pilot uses SAE 5w-20 viscosity, fully synthetic detergent motor oil in its engine. The vehicle has an oil capacity of 4.5 US quarts. You can find this oil at any maSSRetail location. You can also find it at an automotive parts and accessories store, or online from trusted sellers. You can expect to pay between $2.36 and $11.52 per bottle. If You choose to have the change completed by an automotive service technician, or by a mechanic, You can expect to pay an additional $49 to $135 for labor. You may also want to invest in a $1 to $3 funnel, to help prevent spills during the exchange. An oil change should be obtained every 10,000 miles, or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

The 2008 Honda Pilot requires 4.5 US quarts of oil (including filter). If the remaining engine oil life is 15 to 6 percent, you will see the engine oil life indicator every time you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position. The maintenance minder indicator will also come on, and the maintenance item code(s) for other scheduled maintenance items needing service will be displayed next to the engine oil life indicator. The 15 and 10 percent oil life indicators remind you that your vehicle will soon be due for scheduled maintenance.
