The 2009 Jeep Wrangler has a 3.8L v6 engine oil capacity of 6.0 qt. Jeep recommends using oil that meets the API certified and meets the requirements of Chrysler material standard mS6395. The Jeep manufacturer recommended that the truck uses SAE 5w-30 engine oil and the recommended OEM is the Mopar Maxpro. If You are using the Jeep in harsh terrain and excess strain like off-roading it is recommended to do an oil change every 3500 miles to keep the engine oil fresh. If driving the Jeep on the road with normal use You can change the oil every 7000 miles when using full synthetic oil. The full synthetic allows the fluid to keep all the engine components such as pistons and cylinders.
