To recalibrate the ECU in the 2016 Honda Civic, drive the car until its at operating temperature. Look under hood for the ECU fuse. The fuse box is located in a black plastic box on the drivers side of the engine. The underside of the panel's lid should indicate where the plug can be found. Wait 15 minutes and re-insert the pulled fuse. The same results can be achieved by disconnecting the black or negative battery cable first and waiting 15 minutes and then re-connecting. Turn the vehicle on and let it idle for 15 minutes without depressing the gas pedal. Turn the vehicle off and then on again and allow the key to reset the ECU. Drive the car to complete the process.

To reset the ecu or computer in your 2016 honda civic vehicle, disconnect the positive battery cable and remove your ecu relay or fuse. Wait two to three minutes and reinsert the fuse and reconnect battery cables and your vehicle's ecu should be reset.
