The 2018 Honda Odyssey does have a CD player with the el with res and the high-end luxury touring elite trims. You will come into problems with the sound. This could be from the stereo's speakers or a phone that is connected to the vehicle. Whatever the source, You will need to have these issues solved quickly. If the problems are from the stereo's speakers, it could be static sounds, randomly turns off, a loose wire, or a blown fuse. If the problems are coming from the phone, it could be that the software won't update, the device will not sync with the vehicle, the phone's battery is almost dead, or an object is blocking the signal.

Yes, the 2018 Honda Odyssey does have the capability to play CDs if you have a trim that includes the Rear Entertainment System that can play CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. The system is available on the EL with RES and the high-end luxury Touring Elite Passenger Van. It has a unique feature, called Cabin Talk, that lets the driver talk to back seat passengers wearing headphones. The traditional CD player in the front is replaced with a live stream audio system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard on the EX model and every trim level other than the base-model. Use either app to enjoy music, podcasts and audio books.
