Your 2008 Ford Explorer does have bluetooth, but to make use of it, You'll need to pair Your phone with Your Explorer to enjoy SYNC's features. Turn on Your phone, Your vehicle, and Your radio. Once You've done this, make sure that Your phone's bluetooth feature is enabled and that Your device is visible to sync. Press the Phone button to access the Phone Menu. Press OK. Wait until You see Add a Device displayed and press OK again. You should get a prompt from SYNC to press OK to begin pairing device, at which point You'll press OK again. Next You'll be prompted to to search for SYNC on Your phone. On Your phone's bluetooth menu, execute a search for SYNC, and enter the number (SRX digits) You see on the Ford's SYNC screen into Your phone. You'll get a message on Your phone asking You to grant permission to SYNC, which You need to grant. That should be all You need to do.
