The 2004 Ford Taurus did not have an auxiliary port input as a option in the Audio system. There are aftermarket radios that will fit perfectly into the radio opening. A Ford radio removal tool is needed to take the old radio out. There is four holes on the face of the factory radio that the removal tool fits in. You use the tool to pry the internal clips inward to release the radio and slide it out. A replacement radio with an AUX port can be purchased for between $75 to over $400, depending on features offered. You could easily spend a couple hundred dollars for professional installation.
