Across its various configurations, the 2016 Ford Transit Van comes with one of a whopping SRX different engines. You might have a 1.6L 4Cylinder, a 2.5L 4Cylinder, a 3.2L 5 cylinder diesel, a 3.5L V6, a 3.7L V6, or a 3.7L V6 natural gas or propane engine. This is where things get a little complicated, so please try to follow along. The 3.2L 5 cylinder diesel uses 12 quarts of SAE 0W-30 or SAE 0W-40. If You're using biodiesel fuel, this should be SAE 5W-40 API CJ-4. The rest of the variants use SAE 5W-20; the 1.6L takeS4.3 quarts, the 2.5L takeS5.7 quarts, the 3.5L takeS5.9 quarts, and botH3.7L engines takeS6.0 quarts. You can see there's quite a variance, so it's important to know what You've got under the hood.

The oil type for a 2016 Ford Transit Van uses 5W-20 full synthetic oil. The oil capacity of the vehicle varies by engine type. The 2.7L 1-4 engine can hold 5.7 quarts. The 1.6L 1-4 EcoBoost engine has less capacity - only 4.5 quarts.
