The 2011 Kia Optima has either a 2.0 L 4Cylinder or a 2.4 L 4Cylinder engine that needS4.9 quarts of oil with a filter. The type of oil that is recommended is SAE 5W-40 FS Synthetic for the 2.0 L 4Cylinder and 5W-20 Synthetic or SAE 5W-30 for the 2.4 L 4Cylinder engine. Oil is important to use because it keeps the engine clean and keeps engine parts lubricated for when they rub together because it helps with friction. Oil will go bad after a certain time so in the Optima it should be changed every 7,500 Miles and the filter should be changed at the same time. The cost of an oil change is only about $20 to $30 in labor costs
