For the 2011 Ford Edge You should be using SAE 5W-20 engine oil and the capacity for this vehicle iS5.5 quarts. Ford recommends this oil type because it's good for fuel economy and it provides year long protection whether You're in cold or warm climates. There are plenty of different options for You to choose from when it comes to the oil but You're probably better off going with what Ford uses which is the Motorcraft synthetic blend. It's also good that it's a very affordable option and You can find A5 quart container at Your local Walmart or similar stores for under $20. Pick up a $10 oil filter and it's a cheap bit of maintenance for You to perform on Your own. -
