2018 Chevrolet Cruze Review: A Basic but Reliable, Affordable Compact

S.D. Grady
Sep 20, 2021

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze offers sleek style and a modern ride, but limited engine options make it dull compared to other compacts. While less costly, entry trims lack options, leaving LT and above the ideal choice for most.

VehicleHistory Image
likeFilled The Good
The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze looks smart with its contemporary styling, and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easy hands-free access to your digital world. There is a surprising amount of space in the trunk, and the L or LS provides an affordable option for budget-conscious shoppers.
dislikeFilled The Bad
It is ultimately a slightly less than average car in almost every department. Disappointing power under the hood, not so sharp handling in the corners, higher than average maintenance costs, and it is more likely to break down compared to other segment competitors. It does not offer autonomous emergency braking.
checkCircleAlternativeBold The Bottom Line
The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze could be your perfect car if all you need is a functional ride to pick up the kids, work through city streets, and bring home a load of groceries. If you demand luxury amenities in your vehicle, you may pay more for features that come standard on other vehicles in the compact car segment.

Compact, sporty, eco-friendly.
I like the color and the trim, heated seats, sunroof, gas mileage, android auto and touch screen, ability to talk on phone through the speakers, great sound quality speakers, button start on fob, ability to check oil use and tire pressure on screen. I think the card could use a little more power. I have had one issue: error message after accelerating, that needs to be looked at.

Honestly love the stereo and the apple play. I breathe music, so top notch.
I seriously love this car. Interior is clean and super comfortable and does not get too hot. Went from a regular Cruze to a hatchback and the difference is truck space and accessibility is phenomenal. The best thing is the gas mileage though. Save so much on gas. I can get from my house in Cleveland to my sisters in Indianapolis on a full tank.

Love to cruise in my Chevy Cruze.
Great for parallel parking. Sporty look. Great on gas. Fits all my family and friends comfortably. Turbo has a good kick.

Safe and economical, handles well. A lot of power for a four-cylinder.
Excellent mileage, safety features, and it looks sharp too! Only complaint: no interior trunk release.

A beautiful car that runs great!
My car drives super smooth and I have had zero problems with it. Great gas mileage city and rural. I have only taken it for it is normal Checkups and there has not been anything else wrong with it. It is a really great car and I have had it for 2 years now.

Red hot cruise, great looks and awesome price and gas mileage.
Great performance, very reliable, I find it very comfortable to ride in and drive. Has good gas mileage, no problems with the car at all, 40,000 plus miles on the car, love the car! Bought my daughter a cruise too. Will be a lifelong buyer of the cruise line.

Great Chevy car for family.
I feel it is a great car without any issues so far. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.

I love the ride and feel of my Chevy Cruze!
I love my Chevy... It performs well... Seating is comfortable... I especially love the idle at pause when stopped. I am also pleased with the mileage on the highway. Gas mileage is also important. I drive 30 miles per day to and from work and can go all week on a half tank of gas. My Chevy body style is sleek and sporty and 'fits' me.

My vehicle is a small silver car.
I like the car itself. However, it is not ideal for families. There is not enough room for a big car seat as well as other adults in the back seat. It runs well but it is just very compact. I have not had any problems with the car thus far, I make sure to keep up on its maintenance.

Nothing but problems
The good about the car - has a good pick up and go, great for road trips and its super quiet and comfortable. Ok now the bad - i bought it brand new, within the first couple weeks i had to have a whole new computer put in. Ive had the stabilitrax fixed multiple times. Now i have a cylinder 2 misfire in my engine and its back into the shop and now my warranty might not cover it. Not to mention for the last couple months my side detection hasnt been working and my airbag sensor goes off when i hit a bump. Overall i would never recommend this car to anyone. Which is sad because im a chevy lover, and this car is very good looking. But i cant get over these problems. Im stuck with the car now and trapped.

NOT GOOD FOR CANADIAN WEATHER
For warmer locations this car is great. For winter driving be prepared to get your Turbo thawed up to 3 times over 1 winter season. Roughly $200 labor fees.

Its the worst car I have ever owned, not only that but the company does nothing to help. I will never buy a GM/Chevy ever again.

The downfall of the Chevy Cruze
Seats are uncomfortable, it is noisy, the wipers leave streaks. The remote start does not allow the heat to come on. This is my third Cruze and is by far my least favorite car. All the 'improvements' they made were horrible. Even with these horrible changes the cost went up considerably.

Mistake
To begin with, I alerted my gn dealer of the front bumper problem which most probably don’t know about. Now my 2018 is having a turn signal malfunction. Not happy at all. When I purchased this June of 18, they had it in shop for months bcuz of the bumper problem (which there were a lot of them brand new on the lots with same problem), so when I involved gn into this issue, what a nightmare, they did not and could not fix the problem correctly and did Not offer assistance. Horrible. Beware .

Silver Chevy Cruze 2018 with small turbo.
My 2018 Chevy Cruze has auto stop and it only works half of the time. It drives rough when you are taking off and when stopping and I am pretty sure it is due to the auto stop. It has been reliable so far. It does have Wi-Fi and OnStar capability. It is sort of a small car but the seats are somewhat comfortable. It has a small turbo which makes the car have somewhat of a get up and go.

2018 Chevy Cruze Trims: Comes Standard with Apple CarPlay, but Really Shines at LT & Above

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

There were four standard trims created for the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze and one for the Diesel.

Entry-Level Cruze L Has Few Basic Options but Surprises with Apple CarPlay: Sold only as the sedan, you will zip through the streets using the 1.4L 153 horsepower four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. Cloth seats, air-conditioning, and a rear vision camera see to all the basics. You get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, and a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot that requires a subscription.

Cruze LS Adds Several Essentials Like Remote Keyless Entry: The LS is nearly a repeat of the L, except that you are treated to carpeted floor mats and a three-spoke steering wheel. The center console also includes an armrest. Teen Driver system and remote entry are also part of the plan.

The Cruze LT Shines with Many Standard/Available Modern Tech & Safety Features: Find the most popular upgrades on the LT as either the sedan or hatchback. Cruise control, 16-inch aluminum wheels, a split-folding rear seat, and heated power side mirrors expand its abilities while adding to its allure. There is also a SiriusXM satellite receiver waiting to be activated. You still have a manual driver’s seat unless it is loaded with the Convenience Package, which adds a smart key, heated seats, and a power driver’s seat.

The Technology Package was offered on the LT and above models, and upgrades your radio to a Bose eight- or nine-speaker surround sound system. There is also a digital driver information display added to the instrument cluster. Additionally, the optional Driver Confidence I Package alerts you if another car is traveling in your blind spot, crossing behind you when backing out, or if you drift out of your lane.

The Sun and Sound Package adds a power sunroof, an upgraded sound system, and ambient lighting.

For a sportier look, the Redline Package adds black badging, red accents, black light surrounds, and black mirror caps. For an even sportier appearance, the RS Package added a spoiler, body kit, fog lamps, 18-inch wheels, and RS badging.

Cruze Premier Improves Exterior Styling & Upgrades to Nine-speed Transmission with Start/Stop Tech: Chrome strips and 17-inch aluminum wheels dress up your vehicle in the Premier. A rear Z-link suspension delivers a more controlled ride. The nine-speed automatic transmission introduces start/stop technology for improved fuel economy. Remote start, a heated steering wheel, and leather-trimmed heated front seats add more upscale amenities. The smart key unlocks the doors and primes the ignition without leaving your pocket.

One thing you might find exclusively on Premier, the Driver Confidence II Package adds smart high beams, following-distance alert, and pedestrian detection. It does not have any autonomous systems, such as emergency braking or lane departure mitigation.

Another add-on bundle is the Enhanced Convenience Package, which adds automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, heated rear seats, and a 110-volt power outlet.

For a really top-of-the-line Cruze, look for the Sun and Sound with Navigation Package, which adds a larger eight-inch color touchscreen with navigation and a power sunroof.

Cruze Diesel is Fuel-Efficient Alternative to LT Trim but Adds a Few Creature Comforts: Drive all day in the sedan with a manual transmission and earn an EPA-estimated 48 mpg highway. The Diesel is also available as a hatch, and is nicely appointed similar to the LT trim, along with heated front seats, remote start, and smart key.

Prices for a Used 2018 Chevy  Cruze L Starts Around $11,500

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

We checked with Kelley Blue Book for current pricing for a used 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. Here’s what we found:

  • L: $11,500 to $13,600
  • LS: $14,300 to $14,400
  • LT: $15,700 to $18,500
  • Premier: $17,500 to $20,100
  • Diesel: $14,400 to $17,000

2018 Chevrolet Cruze CPO Program Extends Warranty Coverage for a Premium

Since the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze has only been on the road for just three or four years, the model is eligible to participate in the GM Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program. This means that the car is less than six years old, has less than 75,000 miles, has a clean title, and passed its vigorous vehicle inspection. When you purchase a CPO car from a GM dealer, it comes with a few more perks. You get a 12-month/12,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty, the remainder of the factory powertrain warranty, a trial subscription for SiriusXM radio and OnStar systems, and scheduled free maintenance.

While all of that gives you some added confidence when buying used, you do pay a premium. Expect to spend an extra $1,000 on a CPO Cruze over one sold off a local used car lot.

Always do your due diligence and make sure that any car you buy has all of its recalls addressed before it leaves the lot.

2018 Cruze Engines Provide Enough Muscle at 153 HP to Power Your Daily Drives & Projects

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

The one engine offered for the gas trims is the 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 153 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. For such a compact vehicle, it is really all the muscle required for your daily drive and picking up the kids.

Two transmissions were paired with the 1.4L: the six-speed manual, and a six-speed automatic with start/stop ability. As for the 1.6L diesel, it’s good for 137 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque, and came with the same manual or a nine-speed automatic with start/stop technology.

If you are worried about a lack of acceleration or the ability to attack corners, you may want to consider a different car. The Cruze engine packages are perfect for morning traffic jams and maneuvering through multiple stoplights.

How Fuel Efficient is a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze?

While the diesel 2018 Chevrolet Cruze steals the show on fuel economy, the rest of the lineup performs about average in the world of compact cars. If you do a lot of highway driving, it is possible to attain 40 mpg. However, city driving drops you into the upper 20 mpg world.

Compare the Cruze with other options at FuelEconomy.gov to make the best choice based on government testing and real-world usage.

Cruze models with the 1.4L engine and six-speed automatic transmission can expect about 27 mpg in the city, and 40 mpg on the highway. If you prefer a manual transmission, you’ll lose roughly 2 mpg in the city.

As for models with the 1.6L diesel and six-speed automatic, they have a potential of 29 mpg city, 48 mpg highway.

The Cruze does come with a decent-sized, 13.5-gallon fuel tank. This gives you a top driving range between 450 and 500 miles.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze Driving Performance’s High-end Acceleration is Average at Best

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

The 153 horsepower four-cylinder engine found on the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze should provide all the muscle needed for a confident morning commute. However, it is simply underwhelming in the performance department. You won’t beat anybody off the line at the stoplights, and high-end acceleration is average.

Per My Car Specs, it requires nine seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill, and completes a quarter-mile in 16.5 seconds.

It does come with traction control and a stability control system. However, taking tight corners at speed will have you lifting off the gas due to its stiff rear suspension. It was designed as a standard grocery-getter. If you are just running errands around town, you shouldn’t have any complaints regarding its capabilities.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze Dimensions & Capacity Make it a Practical Compact in Sedan or Hatchback

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

Both the sedan and hatch offer seating for five. The front seats are reasonably comfortable for most average-sized Americans. The back seats have just 36.1 inches of legroom, which is enough for a short ride for an adult. The kids will have plenty of elbow room.

The L and LS give you a folding rear bench seat, which expands the 14.8 cubic-foot trunk when you want to bring home longer items. On the LT trim and higher, it turns into a split-folding seat that takes away a cubic foot of standard trunk room, but gives you the choice of seating three while toting more soccer balls.

The hatch is actually competitive with other small SUVs in cargo capacity. There is an ample 22.7 cubic feet with the rear row occupied. Pack for a busy weekend with the back seat folded, and take advantage of 47.2 cubic feet.

Safety Highlights for the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze performed well in crash simulations at the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS).

The NHTSA awarded it a five-star Overall Safety Rating. An average male driver and smaller front passenger should be adequately protected from injury in a mid-speed frontal or side-impact accident. The rear seats only scored four stars in the side barrier and side pole impacts. If the car loses control during a high-speed incident, it has a 10.7% chance of rollover.

At the IIHS, it ranks Good in crashworthiness, which is the highest rank for its testing results. You may think this means that it should be listed as a Top Safety Pick. That is not the case. It does not offer the required forward emergency braking. Still, it passed all the structural requirements with flying colors.

If you plan on using the back seat for your baby seats, the LATCH system was given a Marginal score by the IIHS. The bottom anchors on the outboard seats are positioned too deep into the cushions. This requires excessive force to snap the seat into place. The center position only offers a top tether. Once the seats are in place, the LATCH system performs as needed in an emergency.

The rear-seat reminder sounds an alert when you turn off the ignition. It works if you opened the back door within 10 minutes of starting the car.

What about driver-assist technology? Blind spot and rear cross-traffic alerts are available on the LT, Diesel, and Premier with the Driver Confidence Package. You receive an audible and visual alert if another vehicle enters the danger zone. Only offered on the Premier as part of the Driver Confidence II Package, the forward collision alert sounds an alarm if a pedestrian is detected. The same applies to its following distance monitor. Only its Intellibeam headlights and lane departure assist are active systems. The headlights can switch to low automatically and lane departure will nudge your steering to keep you between the lines.

Featured Technology on the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze is not overloaded with buttons and wireless wonders, but it has a fair share of modern conveniences included even on the base L trim.

Every vehicle has a seven-inch touchscreen that controls the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment center. Use the USB port to connect your smartphone to the system, and access Android Auto or Apple CarPlay functions. Speak up to place a hands-free call. If your kids need to stay connected on the ride to school, there is a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot able to support seven devices with an active subscription.

You can activate the OnStar system that provides access to roadside assistance, 911 response, navigation, and other concierge services.

Is this car for your new driver? Teen Driver technology allows you to restrict top speeds, set the volume on the radio, and even receive a report of car usage. It is a good tool for concerned parents, and helps your child to develop better habits about seat belts and leaving the smartphone off while on the road.

Do you have a favorite radio show or podcast? Activate the SiriusXM satellite radio and rock out to national stations no matter where you roam.

An upgrade for the rear vision camera on the LT and higher is available to take advantage of rear park assist. Bumper-mounted sensors sound an alarm if you are about to hit the trash cans or curb.

Color Combinations for the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze

You may find your Chevrolet Cruze in one of 13 exterior colors. The L was only available in Summit White or Silver Ice Metallic. Other options include:

For the interior, Jet Black cloth is standard for the L, LS, and LT. The Premier adds leather seat appointments in Kalahari or Medium Atmosphere, with darker contrasting accents. A Medium Atmosphere cloth was offered on some LS and LT vehicles, unless they featured a Red Hot exterior.

How Reliable is the 2018 Chevy Cruze?

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze scores about average for cost of ownership and reliability at Repair Pal. They give it a four out of five stars. You may spend about $545 on maintenance and repairs every year. You can expect it will end up at the shop for a surprise fix about every two and half years. You have a one in 10 shot of the repair ending up being a major deal.  Overall, it is just slightly more expensive, unreliable, and likely to have an expensive repair than other vehicles in the segment.

What Critics Say

U.S. News

Commuters will appreciate the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze’s exceptional fuel economy, excellent predicted reliability rating, roomy seats, and comfortable ride.

Car and Driver

It’s easy to find a satisfactory car in the Cruze’s diverse lineup, but true excellence must be sought elsewhere.

Edmunds

The Cruze is a popular sedan for Chevrolet, and the company is doing its best to keep it competitive against some equally popular rivals.

Kelley Blue Book

Last year the Chevy Cruze got a bump in available technology as well as addition of the hatchback body style and the optional diesel engine in the sedan.

Motor Trend

Diesel-powered models offer a comfortable ride and secure handling, but we noted in a 2018 First Test, the car can get unsettled over large road imperfections with the optional 18-inch alloy wheels.

Common Problems and Recalls Associated with the 2018 Chevy Cruze

2018 Chevrolet Cruze-Chevrolet

While the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze does have 57 complaints registered with the NHTSA, it doesn’t have any major system that stands out as a common problem. Two drivers said their brakes did not bring the car to a stop during an accident, causing the collision. One stated that the auto stop/start failed at an intersection. Two complain of noises associated with the transmission.

At Car Complaints.com, the most common problem reported has to do with the engine, with three referring to the engine shutting off while driving. That may refer back to the few recalls that have been issued for the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze.

The NHTSA issues a recall when a defect affects the safe performance of a vehicle.  The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze has just three recalls out at this time. Not every recall will apply to every Cruze. You need to run your VIN through the NHTSA website or check with your repair shop to see if one is associated with your particular ride.

Campaign 18V304000 says there is a risk of a fuel leak during a rollover, possibly leading to a fire. It only applies to the LS trim. The dealer will install a lock ring on the fuel tank to prevent damage to a vapor sensor in the event of a rear-end collision.

If you have a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze with start/stop technology, campaign 20V668000 may apply to your ride. The transmission accumulator may be missing bolts due to an incorrect factory installation procedure. This can result in a loss of hydraulic fluid, and cause the car to stop functioning or possibly cause a fire. The dealer will inspect the questionable part, install any missing bolt, and test the system for function.

The last recall is campaign 18V576000, and applies to most Cruze vehicles. The rear brake calipers may not have been sufficiently coated, and this can cause gas pockets to form in the brake lines. Your dealer will simply bleed the brakes to ensure proper performance. Once the car has a complete brake repair with new calipers, the problem will be gone.

If you would like to know what kind of repairs your new-to-you Cruze has received over its lifetime, visit Vehicle History and enter its VIN to receive a comprehensive report, including recall status updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feb 3, 2022

Is the 2018 Chevy Cruze reliable?

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze is considered to be a very reliable vehicle and it gets a 4.5 out of 5 star ranking from J.D. Power in terms of the expected reliability. These are relatively simple vehicles that are built on a tried-and-true platform and it helps them have a good reliability score since they are not known to have a lot of problems.

The Cruze is also built to be an affordable vehicle and Chevrolet worked hard to make sure that it would be affordable in the long run. These should have no problem lasting over 200,000 miles as long as you take care of them and get your regular services done on the vehicle.

If you're in the market for a reliable compact sedan then the Chevy Cruze is a good one to look at. Some compact vehicle choices are more sporty or more technologically advanced, but this is a good value built on a reliable platform.

Is the 2018 Chevy Cruze cheap to maintain?

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze has an estimated annual maintenance cost of $375 to $400 depending on the labor rates in your area. This is significantly below the national average of $500 to $700 per year across all makes and models, which makes it a good vehicle if you are looking for something cheap to maintain.

The Cruze has a simple drivetrain on it that usually does not require a lot of maintenance, and it has a small engine in it that does not need a lot of oil and other fluids. This makes the Cruze a great choice if you are in the market for a vehicle that is affordable to keep running. Typically you will need a few oil changes a year and some other minor services from time to time which helps keep the costs down.

The Cruze is a good vehicle to check out if you care about maintenance costs. These are vehicles that are very budget-friendly when it comes to their maintenance.

Why is the 2018 Chevy Cruze so cheap?

The 2018 Chevy Cruze is so cheap primarily due to supply and demand. There are more Chevy Cruze vehicles available than there are potential buyers. The majority of buyers these days prefer to go with an SUV or crossover since they are as efficient as sedans, but they have the added benefit of more room for cargo and passengers. That leads to compact sedans like the Cruze being less popular.

This decline in popularity leads to their values dropping, and it helps them become more affordable. The Chevy Cruze was also built to be an economy-class vehicle from the start. These do not have a lot of luxury and frills in them and that low initial MSRP helps them be affordable on the used market as well.

If you're in the market for a car that is affordable and relatively new then a 2018 Chevy Cruze can be a great choice. These are known to last a long time and they can be a real bargain on the used market these days.

Why do 2018 Chevy Cruze turbos fail?

One of the common problems reported with the 2018 Chevy Cruze is a problem with the turbos. These have been known to fail over time and it is usually caused by a blow-off or bypass valve problem. These have been known to get stuck in the open or closed position. If it gets stuck closed then that can lead to over boost situations that can damage the engine. If it gets stuck open then you will have a low boost situation and that will result in a loss in power.

Owners have found that these turbos fail between 30,000 and 100,000 miles and there's no real way to predict when one will fail. Fortunately, Chevrolet has noticed the problem and there have been turbo revisions over the years that have improved their reliability.

Overall the turbo problems seem to be the most serious issue that the Cruze faces. These can be expensive and time-consuming to replace so it is always a good idea to have the vehicle inspected before you buy it to see if there are any problems with the turbo.

Is the 2018 Chevy Cruze better than a Honda Civic?

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze and Honda Civic are direct competitors in the compact car market and each of them wins in a few categories. The Cruze comes out ahead of the Civic in terms of price since it is nearly $2,000 cheaper than a comparable Civic. The Cruze also offers more technology as standard, where you will have to buy upgrade packages to get the same technology in a Civic.

The Cruze and Civic are very similar in terms of overall build quality on the interior, these are both economy cars and use a lot of plastic throughout them. They are also similar in terms of reliability. The Cruze does have the known turbo problems, but aside from that, they can last as long as a Civic.

Where the Civic comes out ahead is in the performance, handling, and safety. Honda has a better reputation than Chevrolet in these departments and it shows when you drive the two back to back. The Civic is just a more fun vehicle than the Cruze. Ultimately if you are in the market for a compact car it would be a good idea to check out both of these and see which one fits your needs best.

Debating the 2018 Chevy Cruze.
I drive a 2018 Chevy Cruze ls. The car is a very nice looking car and is kind of a slick look to it. The inside is roomy and very nice. I like the fabric on parts of the door but not the whole thing. I dislike some things too though. Like there is no cruise control at all, you cannot turn on or off just one interior light it has to be all or none. I also do not like that the seat does not move up and down automatically. But my favorite part of the car is the radio. I love the touch screen and the easy to use system. The MyLink that you can use is also very cool! It is like having an iPad as a radio set up.

2018 Chevy Cruze a lot of car for a small price. Excellent vehicle.
I purchased my 2018 Chevy Cruze brand new. I have owned several different makes and models over my lifetime. This Chevy Cruze rates at the top of cars I have owned. I love this car. It has everything I want and need. I have had no problems with it at all. It has nice features and gets really good gas mileage. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone wanting a new car. I have the standard version but you wouldn't know it by all the nice features it has. Not to mention that it goes pretty fast for a 4 cyl. And it is an automatic/six speed transmission. I love it.

Great city vehicle that will look classy and save you a couple of dollars.
The 2018 Chevy Cruze is pretty great, I traded my 2015 Cruze for and I haven't looked back. The vehicle itself is very reliable. It offers a smooth for the most part, when you come to a complete stop the vehicle will power off to save gas then kick back up when you release the brakes. I personally do not have an issue with it. But I can see how it can be a bother. I wouldn't suggest taking sharp turns because you will lose traction. Other than that, the vehicle gets great gas mileage and I love how it comes with CarPlay.

Compact car, great features, and incredible gas mileage!
The 2018 Chevy Cruze has the latest technology with touch screen and Bluetooth. The car is compact but you don't feel like you're crammed in the car with no space. Also, despite being a small car, the trunk is relatively large for storage space. This car gets extremely great gas mileage with 35 mpg city and 42 highway. My only complaint would be how little power this vehicle has. It just takes a while for the car to accelerate. Overall love this vehicle.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze! Best car ever.
My Chevy Cruze is so cute and comfy but is also very roomy!! The trunk is large, I am able to pack it with everything I need for my weekends away. The touch screen/apple CarPlay is probably my favorite feature of the car. My Chevy Cruze will read me my text messages and I can talk to it to reply. I have a full map GPS on the screen as well which helps me everywhere I go. I the gas mileage on the car is amazing as well.

2018 chevy cruze hatchback review
I have a 2018 chevy cruze hatchback premier. It is a great car to have. The gas mileage is very good. I usually can drive at least 300 miles on one tank. I do long distance driving since i live in the country. It's very comfortable to drive. It has a rear view camera, xm radio capability, automatic windows and driver seats. If you need to get up and go, the car can handle it. Very dependable and worth the money.

The 2018 Chevy Cruze is a very smooth driving car with large people space!
I am fairly new to my car, only have about 3, 000 miles on it! But so far, I love it! It is a six speed manual transmission, and it drives so smoothly, and it is so quiet you can barely even tell when you need to shift! It is really cheap to fill up the gas tank, it does not break the bank! Seating is extremely comfortable! There's a ton of room in both the front, and the back seat! I absolutely love it!

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze.
It gets good gas mileage. The interior is spacious. It rides smoothly. The battery did need to be replaced after only 6 months, but it is been fine since then. The radio has fewer preset stations than older cars I have owned in the past, but it is okay now that I have gotten used to it. I never thought I needed a backup camera, but now I love it and do not know how I drove without one in the past.

I really like my 2018 Chevy Cruze. It is very roomy, and drives so smooth. It has a lot of great safety features. The gas mileage has been great as well. The car is equipped with the auto start/stop feature which helps the gas mileage and I believe is better for the environment. The car is incredibly comfortable. I love the backup camera as well.

The car is great, but if you have a family, it is not the most suitable car. Backseat space is very limited. Pros are that is has apple carplay, SiriusXM radio, and OnStar. I absolutely love my Chevy. It drives well, super reliable. The car has many safety features that are good for new drivers or younger drivers. Comfortable Cruze vs dashing Silverado.
No problems yet. Did have a recall which verified that vehicle had no problems. It is comfortable and easy to drive around. While we love our Silverado, the Cruze is easier to park and it handles heavy traffic well. Mileage averages in upper 30s overall. I LIKE ITS STYLE AND THE AMOUNT OF GASOLINE IT USES. IT IS A GREAT FAMILY CAR. VERY AFFORDABLE TOO.

Great family vehicle also great gas mileage!
This vehicle is great as a family car, or to drive by yourself. If you take it on a trip it holds a lot comfortably and it is great on gas! When I go on vacation I usually visit my mom and sister. My mom's in WV so there is a lot of mountains but it takes about the same amount of gas to visit my mom as it does to visit my sister where there is no mountains. It is all around a great vehicle!

Honda Cruze is great for young people who are still working towards success.
It works great. Good gas mileage. I have never had any issues with the vehicle. It is cheap to fix, has many good qualities. I couldn't think of a better car for someone my age who is still going to school. I would recommend anyone this car who is just starting out with their life and or career.
